  • Very few people need a truck like yours. They need one guy in their friend group with a truck like yours who they can ask for a favor every couple years.

Or just get a rental for that day, unless they live in the middle of nowhere. But in the latter case they will know someone with that type of truck for sure.

  • Also they all hold the bows completely wrong.

Angled arm, turned the wrong side, wtf?

  • "wouldnt accomplish anything"

Because Netanyahu could have slapped Biden on stage, whipped out his Penis and stuck it in Bidens mouth for the entire world to see and the Biden administration would have upped the arms shipments the next day.

The core principle of the Biden administration was to support the genocide and pretend not to. The Trump administration just dropped the pretense.

  • Putin cant visit most countries anymore. Netanyahu neither. Exceptions are the US who want to destroy the ICC anyways and recently Hungary who now want to leave the ICC to suck up to Netanyahu.

  • Serotonin can't past the blood-brain barrier.

You have two serotonin households and it serves different regulation purposes in your body and brain.

  • Helping a genocide is very much illegal. If you sell precursor chemicals for poison gas to a death camp operator, you are also complicit.

After Oct. 7 the usage by the IDF exploded. In early 2024 reports about the AI tools used to justify slaughtering Civilians en masse came out, employees have been raising alarms through the "proper" channels and then went to public protest as Microsoft ignored them and cracked down on any mention of it in Forums, Town Halls and the like.

They absolutely know that they are complicit and would rot in prison the rest of their lifes if this goes to court properly.

  • As fiber is rolled out more, i see less and less why it would be cost prohibitive?

All you need to do to connect a remote place is lay a cable. More expensive if you need dig a trench and put the cable in there. But if it can be done for electricity it can be done for fiber.

  • I agree that the use by states is hypocritical and the designation currently is meaningless.

But the definition in itself is relevant imo. to call out states when they engage in terror, which many, but not all, do.

Unless you want to go down the road of saying that every word and thereby every definition is a matter of perspective, i fail to see how this definition is "based on perspective".

  • Yes you can. Problem for governments is that they usually are terrorists by the typical definitions of using violence to further political goals.

In particular the UK is heavily involved in the terror genocide against Gaza as it facilitates arms transfers from the US to Israel and runs spy flights over Gaza to help the Israelis find civilians to murder. They recently went to pay American contractors with British tax money to hide the fact that they continue their direct intelligence support to the genocide.

  • That is the purpose. Create ambiguous rules to justify authoritarian crackdowns.

  • Which are based on LLMs or other neural network models. It is kind of the thing that language models are actually good at.

    See DeepL for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DeepL_Translator

The service uses a proprietary algorithm with convolutional neural networks (CNNs)[3] that have been trained with the Linguee database.[4][5]According to the developers, the service uses a newer improved architecture of neural networks, which results in a more natural sound of translations than by competing services. The translation is said to be generated using a supercomputer that reaches 5.1 petaflops and is operated in Iceland with hydropower.[6][7]In general, CNNs are slightly more suitable for long coherent word sequences, but they have so far not been used by the competition because of their weaknesses compared to recurrent neural networks. The weaknesses of DeepL are compensated for by supplemental techniques, some of which are publicly known.

  • I think it should be words added in the translation that do not translate directly from the Arabic but add to the context of the Arabic words. This notation seems specific to this translation though.

Every translation is also an interpretation. This is one of the reasons why there is a lot of emphasis on preserving the Quran in Arabic and learning the classical Arabic to understand it.

  • While this is great advice, it requires the ability to distinguish plausible from implausible claims and from what OP describes, we're not at that point yet.

E.g. if you google "why is Trump a bad leader." And then read i.e. "Tariffs are hurting the economy." And then you look for "Are tariffs good for the economy?" you will find pages both saying they are and they aren't.
