  • Sunglasses are often coated with special filters to block more UV light than other parts of the spectrum, e.g. 90+% of UV, but only 75% of visible. These glasses would block all light in (very roughly) even amounts. To achieve similar protection you would barely be able to see.

With civilians looking on in total awe

The fight raged on for a century

  • Have they tried throwing more guns at the problem?

  • Its a common component of all cancer cells, and trace amounts have been found in the blood of dead lab rats.

  • Why? Every step you move up the food chain requires roughly 10x as much inputs as outputs. To get a pound of protein from a cow you have to feed it 10lbs of plant protein. Almost all cattle feed comes from farms, just like your veggies. Anywhere we grow soybeans and hay for cattle could easily be converted to growing fruits and vegetables for human consumption. There's a small loss of efficiency by growing human-quality food instead of cattle food in these spaces, but its nothing in comparison to the loss of resources from trying to raise cattle.

Almost none of the meat we eat is truly free-range - it all gets fed farmed produce that comes from farms that could grow food for humans in a fraction of the space.

  • Which part are you dubious about?

Not enough land for meat? There is technically... but it requires factory farms and STILL we need to chop down huge swaths of the amazon to keep the machine churning.

Not enough land for plant based diets? Is takes only about 1/10th the amount of land to grow plants for human consumption than to grow plants for feeding our animals that we then consume. Sure not every alfalfa farm on the planet can switch to cucumbers out the gate, but well over 10% can...

  • Phew, glad my psychiatrist prescribed me Ritalin.

  • "Crypto" is such a vague term it's almost comical to imply it's private. Sure there are ways to use crypto privately, but it takes a lot of steps.

  • Mmm, I see, I see, so you're voting for the only other person who could possibly win this election, Kamala Harris, right?

  • Ahh yes, of course, of course, so Trump to the rescue then right?

  • Oh okay, then you're voting for Harris, right?

  • The harm side comes in multiple forms:

Harm to the animals; by removing their nutrient dense food source, and feeding them sugar water in its place, impacting colony health

Harm to the ecosystem; by mass producing honey bees we are choking out other pollinators, and the selective breeding for honey bees prioritizes output and makes colonies more susceptible to disease and collapse.

Even if you feel like the bees we're farming lead a good life, that life comes at a cost of other species - we are choosing a winner in the food web in a way that could be done less harmful for similar end result (i.e., plant sugars / syrups). Much of veganism is about harm reduction.

Knowing the importance of pollinators to our food supply, as a vegan I would probably not have much of an issue with pollinator farming if there goal was maintaining biodiversity, instead of min-maxing profit.

  • Similar, but lighting system as a sleep tool. Lights start off warm white and slowly dim to amber / red, then off at the push of a button every night.

  • Which is real fucking rich after the debate where he pretended to be in favor of providing more resources for people wanting to start a family - the exact thing you would strip away if you stopped funding Planned Parenthood.

I'd find the people falling for this grift comically dumb if we weren't headed full steam ahead into an election that could be decided by just a handful of ignorant rubes.
