  • He won due to low voter turnout and voter suppression. A win is still a win.

  • Depends how easy it is to avoid using. When there are lots of choices it's easy to switch. Hard to boycott the website that handles half of all retail in the USA.

  • I got charged for like 3-6 months of DoorDash premium. And that's without having a DoorDash account. Apparently my GF used my card for one order, and managed to accidentally sign up for a subscription which she never used. So the account not in my name, not on my phone, and not attached to my email. I was able to call them though, and they "generously" refunded 2 months.

    Seriously fuck DoorDash.

  • The Last Jedi in particular sucked balls. TFA was good.

  • I'd force project myself like a hologram in front of a ton of enemies, get shot at for awhile, but don't worry I'll be fine I'm just a force projection. But then it turns out force projecting myself is really hard, so I'll die anyway about 5 minutes later. That seems peak useless.

  • That shitty host is like “WOW GET A LOAD OF THESE FREAKS” the whole time while the freaks are being welcoming and nice.

That's literally the joke. They start with the wrong opinion then slowly educate you with the correct one.

  • Former NBA players Jarrett Jack and Chris Duhon are cousins.

  • So frustrating that I've lived long enough that we are passing laws with the specific purpose of excluding one minor group of people.

  • Steve Bannon isn't calling Musk "racist" as much as he's saying Musk's the wrong type of racist. I hope these two feud for a long time.

  • More meaningless culture war bullshit.

  • How is this real life? This is obviously bad for customers.

  • I'm worried their operating costs are higher than they admit. They keep dumbing down the AI to make it use less energy. Right now it's a free product that uses a crazy high amount of electricity. They don't seem all that close to profitability.

  • That's the best case scenario. I'm imagining something more like Enron or Bernie Madoff - losing all value at once when people realized it was a ponzi scheme.

  • "My Humps" is a classic though.

  • The AI bubble burst is gonna wreck the market and send us into another recession. Especially if the crypto bubble bursts at a similar time.

  • Honestly makes a lot of sense. The ink probably turns into a solid at too low of a temp.

  • USB micro (not sure if you're getting micro confused with mini, but doesn't really matter) only supported data transfer, not video transfer (like HDMI). Some USB-C ports are data only, but it theoretically supports more than USB micro was ever capable of.

For example you can buy a USB-C to HDMI cable for a few dollars, which could theoretically plug your phone directly into your TV (if your phone supports that). But a USB micro to HDMI cable was called an "MHL adapter" and was expensive and only worked on specific MHL capable phones like this one. It has a separate box that requires its own power cord in order to work, it's not just a simple cable. USB-C should, in theory, eliminate the need for such a thing.
