There is no point in protesting a data center if you continue to use AI. Wake up.

  • No. GrapheneOS currently only works on Pixels 7 and up.

    Next year we might be able to buy a Motorola with GOS on it. Afaik, that particular Moto doesn't exist yet so we don't know what the specs will be or what the privacy/security compromises will be.

  • One change for me is celebrating on the anniversary of an AI company shutting down.

    Big tech will keep their AI. Like others here have said, AI companies without another income stream will go belly up.

    Some data centers will be sold and repurposed. Others will sell off their hardware to the consumer market.

    Lower temperatures and less noise near the former data centers.

    I don't see property values going back to where they were unless a data center is dismantled and the water table recovers.

  • I've got a collection already downloaded using Kiwix on an old Android tablet's storage card.

    Wikipedia, a metric ton of books from Project Gutenberg, Medwiki and other medical books, stuff on homesteading, the last edition if the CIA factbook.

    I can edit after I get home from work with a more complete list. Basically, I scrolled through Kiwix and grabbed what looked useful if I didn't have internet.
