Too edgy for Tesseract 2026

  • Not wrong, I'd find the LTE hardware and put a faraday cage around it even if it were BMW, Tesla (yuck, car for dumasses and nazis) or General Motors- but when you KNOW the company is required by law in their country to share data collected with an opposition government, the reasons for caring don't just increase, they launch to space.

  • That's a fair enough point- I suppose I think anyone talking about a car is a "Reviewer", but I understand they're not doing it for a living.

  • We all are, Mr- WorldsDumbestMan? Now I feel bad.

  • The only reason I remain in this business is I spent the last few years finding ways to do my job without ever touching a Windows or Mac PC. I self host everything but my e-mail, but that might be a fun project for my next time off.Is everything still crashing down around me? Heck yes it is, but now I can watch from the sidelines, and laugh about the bullshit happening all around me, but not directly TO me.

  • If I'm ever forced to buy a new car you better believe I'm finding the lte module and faraday caging that shit, regardless of what emblem is on the grill.

  • Haha

  • I mean we can talk about physical security all day and never agree. DeviantOlam goes where he wants. I get it.

  • Deadbolt will slow even a professional down long enough to make 100% sure they have time to hear the slide loudly cycle on something on the other side of that door.

  • Oh HEEELLLLLLL no.Click my username to see my account images.

Oh, and before you ask, GrapheneOS on mobile.

  • The assumption they will be repairable at all is wishful thinking at this point, but that's not really what I'm worried about. Every new car has LTE and I don't trust even American companies with telemetry, let alone a nation state that requires their exporters to share data with their governement.

  • I'm in IT and personally I'd genuinely like to see a "grey hat" examination of the internet traffic they send/receive before I'm ready to listen to a car reviewer giving reviews on how nice the seats are or charging is.The fact that I work in IT is also why my home is secured with security doors and deadbolts.

  • I'm on graphene and Linux, come get them

  • Please allow me my internal daydreams ><

  • My thoughts are more oi line with publicly marching a guillotine through the streets.

  • I used to think we'd hit bottom and bounce back up- at least for a little while, but it seems there is no bottom. Makes me wish Canada and Mexico would just invade. If I heard they were coming I'd stock up on beers popular in both countries and patiently wait to rush outside an greet them. That was a nice little 5 seconds of fantasizing, back to malicious compliance now.

  • Yeah you did. Welcome to the proud elite.

  • Signal is flawless. It was a disaster in my testing on a pinephone with Linux.
