Bro, the first election I voted in was 2016. I only knew that I should vote for Hillary Clinton because she was the Democratic nominee. I wasn't even aware that Bernie was done dirty by the DNC.
There's levels of corruption to politics in America, and part of that corruption is keeping people dumb. If they weren't so dumb, they might develop class consciousness and vote for things that actually improve their material conditions!
You don't have to be a tankie to refute Democrats, and even moreso Republicans. Some people might call that being an Independent.
The USA is distracted with treats. It's economy is the imperial core of the planet. That fact affords Trump some time before the masses realize what's going on.
Remember that the Nazis made the economy temporarily better for the in-group. They actually allowed socialist benefits for the German workforce before clamping down on that during WWII.
Trump isn't making the economy better for anyone though. He's screwing everyone over, and channeling that hate towards anything else but him and his base.
Just as we've seen with Charlie Kirk's murder and Candace Owen's conspiracy theory to blame it all on Israel, the Right can fracture very easily. I don't think this Admin will make it to the height of the Nazis. Their own incompetence and marriage to the rich will sew the seeds of their demise. I guess I should have been more particular, and referred to the entire electorate, or at least the electorate that was more inclined to vote for Kamala over Trump.
I never said that people shouldn't vote for Kamala. Hell, I voted for Kamala when the day came.
I did however hold her to a high standard, and drove arguments at the time that she needs to do better if she wants to win more votes than Trump.
Chasing after Republicans was not the right call. Chasing after independents wasn't the call either. She should have adopted far Left populist policies like Medicare For All, Livable Wages, and an Israel Arms Embargo if she wanted to capture more of the stay-at-home couch potato non-voters.
Not all non-voters were protesters, and Kamala absolutely could have increased her numbers with her policies. She could have even lied to the public about it just to gain power, like Obama in many ways. Liberals can't even bring themselves to good politicking anymore
Stop making this about the voters. Even if Kamala would have LIED about Gaza and made some amount of concessions, it would have rallied the factions. Her neoliberal ass couldn't even do that.
