  • A publicly visible contradiction to his narrative, a public display of people criticizing him.

Donald thin skin can’t handle that.

  • What a surprise.

  • There won’t be a pitched battle. It will be generals stepping up with the threat of it and forcing congress to remove trump, or physically rejecting his leadership with declarative statements and refusing his command. If that doesn’t happen, nothing will happen.

  • He’s spent $70 million on ICE to stockpile weapons of all sorts.. He doesn’t need the Generals, and if stereotypes of what we have in the military are correct, they’re right wingers or interested in preserving their paychecks and positions, so they’ll be active supporters or just let it happen. I think getting any of them to engage in organized military action to preserve the constitution against trump is less than a 20% chance.

  • A revolution welcomed by an administration to enact the final coup d’etat.

  • Asd people will get this.

  • Run by a republican donor, I bet. And whoever builds the new structure will also be one.

  • Please tell me there’s a /s in there somewhere.

  • Reddit in a nutshell.

  • Third person-ing the whole thing. “The gun discharged…”

    No.

“Dumbass pulls trigger on gun and shoots people.”

Having used such firearms they do not just “discharge” without active effort.

  • I miss the old internet. Even the dirty underside.

  • Sure. An eroded economy. Stagnant wages for many long with decreasing buying power. Price hikes thanks to tariffs, increasing insurance costs, rising subscription costs, etc. Cars bought at inflated prices and high interest for extended payment schedules during the covid price gouging, and just generally way too expensive these days anyway, are all draining bank accounts far more quickly than ever.

Bet any repos don’t go back on lots for resale, they’ll park them in the desert somewhere just to prop up scarcity and new car prices.

  • At least make the bed you heathen.

  • Conditionally I think that’s a better stand, but nonetheless it’s shifting the fallout to others with little/no risk to the activist. IMO I still don’t think it’s great.

  • Don’t block traffic. I’m all for a general strike, but keeping people from getting places has a lot of potential consequences that we don’t need to be responsible for. Everything from medical events to job interviews to court times could have pretty expensive or otherwise costly fallout. It’s putting the risk/target on someone else’s back instead of you making the statement yourself. It’s not just inconveniencing people. If you want to take a stand, take the risk yourself.

Nobody to sell them a coffee? Nobody to unlock the store at opening time? That’s fine.

  • It's a little less about reading what you're saying or looking at on your phone, it's mostly about tracking where your phone goes and figuring out who you are that way.

  • Probably removed by the respective app stores under pressure from law enforcement agencies. A lot of free “snoop” or network detection apps have been removed or paywalled.
