  • Reddit for browsing hobby-related stuff, Lemmy if I want to get mad at Israel, seeing as that's every comment section and every single post.

  • I don't think you give a shit about genocide, personally, you've just picked the Palestinian Genocide as your particular favourite issue to bang your drum about.

Tell me, what are your opinions on:

    • The Ukrainian Genocide (by Russia)
    • The Masalit Genocide (by Sudan)
    • The Rohingya Genocide (by Myanmar)
    • The Uyghur Genocide (by China) ?

And those are the other genocides happening literally right now!

Let's go a little further back:

    • The Tigray Genocide (by Ethiopia in 2022)
    • The Yazidi Genocide (by ISIS in 2014)
    • The Darfur Genocide (By the RSF in 2005)
    • The Bosnian Genocide (by Serbia in 1995)
    • The Death Commissions (by Iran from 1981-1988. Ebrahim Raisi, President of Iran until 2024 was literally on the panels that executed people for being non-Muslim!)
    • The Kurdish Genocide (by Iraq in 1988 and arguably by Turkey and Iran now, given that pro-Iran protestors set fire to the Kurdish party offices in Iraq)

So no, I don't think you care. If you did, you wouldn't be supporting Iran who gives drones to Russia to commit genocide and have themselves committed genocide. You would be calling for Iran's government to be deposed for the religious nutjobs that they are.

  • No, Iran is definitely not on any sort of moral high ground. They and Israel are so deep underground they're communicating with the mole people.

  • Japan doesn't have nukes though. They don't even allow nukes in their territory. They could make them if they wanted to, they have all the necessary industry to make them, but they don't actually have any.

There's word of sharing nukes with the US, thanks to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and threatening to nuke any nation that tries to help them, but I'm not sure that's actually gone ahead.

  • Narnia? What an odd name. What did they kill them with, a lion or a wardrobe?

  • Brown?

  • Were people just stupid or something and not capable of knowing when the ambient light and camera is affecting the colour of the image?

WTF is this about people getting exact pixel colours?! The question is what colour is the dress, not the colour of the picture in which the dress is depicted!

Using pixel colour to determine the colour of a dress is like saying Martin Luther King had grey skin because the photo he's depicted in is in black and white!

  • Not really. British are from Great Britain (the island).

  • I dare not find out what my reading level is, for the same reason I dare not find out what my IQ is. I don't gain anything by knowing it, and knowing that I'm stupid will only worsen my self-esteem issues.

I feel better assuming I'm roughly average for both measurements.

  • Last cruise I went on, I was 15. I don't remember it being very good. Everyone was either shitting themselves about getting norovirus, or shitting themselves because they'd got norovirus. The excursions were boring and obviously done on the cheap, and I was neither old enough to drink, or young enough to fully enjoy the kids club (I will admit I was fucking amazing at dancing to Cotton Eye Joe on Just Dance though). That and there was a 13-year-old that tried to throw herself overboard and had to be dragged from the railings by other teenagers.

The ship was nothing like that though, it was the P&O ship Oriana, which is a little more reserved. It retired in 2019 and is now a cruise ship in China called the the Piano Land.

  • It used to be so much simpler. I remember having a Galaxy S3 and whenever I saved a file I knew exactly where it went. There was a file explorer built in, and downloads went to the downloads folder.

  • Science isn't a belief, it's a method.

  • What's the difference between an application and a program?

  • Adriana Smith, a registered nurse at Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital, was about 9 weeks pregnant when she started having bad headaches in February. The 30-year-old went to Northside Hospital for help but was released after being given medication, according to her mother, April Newkirk.

From the headline I thought it was a situation where she was brain dead and it was 6 months in and the foetus only needed a little while longer to become viable and, so long as she wanted the child, they could maybe have kept it going until they could prepare for all the necessary care a severely premature baby would need. 9 weeks though?! That's absurd. That's just pigheaded stupidity!

Someone should sneak in and pull the plug, or the family should withdraw consent to treatment or something (I don't know the laws).

  • If the talk about Cybertrucks actually rusting in the rain is true, they will be worth less and less and less...

  • Oooh fancy lads! Kebab shops near me have exactly one stick and I couldn't for the life of me tell you what meat it was. The only thing I know it definitely isn't, is pork.

  • If you know what meat your kebab is made from, it's not a real kebab shop.

  • I am hostile to those that relish in cruelty to others. To those that engage in cringe culture, or bully others for just wanting to live their lives without harming anyone.

I'll accept people getting heated and passionate, but I will never accept cruelty, or worse: self-righteous cruelty. Believing someone needs to be 'punished' for some slight and so anything is justified against them.

Basically KiwiFarms and the whole lolcow industrial complex can go fuck themselves.
