  • Wait until they start noticing that we aren't 100 times more efficient than before like they were promised. I'm sure they will take it out on us instead of the AI salesmen

  • It would be cool if there was open source software to link your library to your friends so you would still get new things you didn't have coming into your list.

It could probably even use one of these fun new protocols too!

  • Yeah and you are also already paying for a set number of people that can use the account so why would it make a difference where they live? My brother is still my family even if we don't live in the same state. They didn't call it a household plan

  • Yes the ones who voted this time will sit out next time

  • You don't ever HAVE to update software though. That's just the way it's usually done now. It's a choice. Usually updates are made to add more features or monetization or whatever but you could just not do that.

If you look at old video games for example those were released and never updated again. They will still work today too.

  • But which one would you choose there are so many

  • Letting you sleep in their house lol

  • Oh they want to price gouge now that everyone is excited for the radioactive shrimp

  • You touch my kids and I'll murder you. I don't even care

  • They should have supported full legalization from the very start. Almost everyone supports it yet no politician ever really cared. It never made sense.

  • He'll fuck you up if you're mean to bugs!

  • Is this how Disney becomes the owner of all of the AI companies too? Lol

  • I prefer the human checkout and it's not for any of those reasons.

For one thing I have a family of 5 and scanning that many groceries at a self checkout is super painful.

Next the grocery store made its money off of the backs of their workers then when it wasn't convenient anymore they fired a bunch of them and replaced them with machines. Now you have 2 humans in the front of the store doing the job of 10. Their only motivation for adding them was money and not convenience based on how it's been implemented. I still have to wait in a huge line that wouldn't be there if they had cashiers and machines together.

I love the idea of them it's just not being implemented in the right way to make it super helpful for the customer.

  • I mean if the job comes with disrespect people will stop taking it right?

Not that it's a nice thing to do but it does sound effective. Consumers don't really have much recourse when large companies adopt policies that hurt them. It's designed like that for a reason. You won't be mean to a person from your community so they make them the face of their bad policy choices. Then they can say oh sorry it's just our policy and the issue goes away

  • People are happy to accept the wrong answer without even checking lol

  • No it's their fault for not holding trump accountable for insurrection. They were too scared of looking political so they just let him get away with crimes. Now he is back. He should have been in prison or under a cross in some dirt like 5 years ago.

  • Yeah they should show up with large armed guards and push their way in. They have a right to see what's going on.

The way they do it, it's just some old people knocking on the door.

  • The discrimination part comes in when the decision to use it is made. In your example that's a huge technical flaw that makes the technology useless for a large part of the population yet someone still chose to implement it in a way that would affect people's lives.

The technology is cool on its own but why does it need to be used if it doesn't work correctly? If you were the person making the call and you knew the technology didn't serve all of the people it's supposed to in a fair way and you still choose to use it that is discrimination.

Maybe it was initially a bug but once it is identified and there is no real attempt to fix it or make a work around, that would also be discrimination. It's not the bug that is discriminating it's the people who allow it to persist intentionally.
