To respond to questions about implementation, I was thinking something along the lines of communities are federated with each other.
Some workflows:PostingI want to make a post to c/tech, so I post on tech@lemm.ee, my post then gets federated to the other instance and shows up there. (Servers would want to add de-duping for people who are subbed to both)
Deleting my postSimilar to above, it gets marked as deleted on both
Mod action:Mod on lemm.ee removes my post, the event and reason get federated. The other instance could be set up to follow the action or have a mod action to do anything with it.
But anyway, for now I'll try to see if there's a way to group communities, but I don't think Sync for lemmy has that.
The reason I was thinking this is because this part of federation actually makes things harder. And then there's the aspect of "where do you post this", bc sometimes the community is bigger on another instance, so you cross post just because it's essentially the same thing, just somewhere else.
That reminds me of how the US tried to censor the lesbian relationship in Sailor Moon by making them cousins. I'll let you imagine how that worked out.
I literally once had someone yell at me for riding on the road, then someone else yell at me for riding on the sidewalk - in the same day. More like within a few hours.
Yeah it really feels like they almost have a sense of class consciousness and when you tear away the "politics" from the politics, they know who's fucking them over.
For he grew up before him like a young plant,
and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
Checks out
For those who don't know, the main thing the bible says about Jesus' appearance is that he was not the beautiful Jesus you saw in the paintings
Boxer briefs. I have a bunch of moisture wicking clothes from 32 Degrees' Cool line that I pick up when they're on sale. They've been quite good at keeping cool and dry, as well as being comfortable.
It's how CPUs do floating point calculations. It's not just javascript. Long story short, a float is stored in the format of one bit for the +/-, some bits for a base value (mantissa), and some bits for the exponent. As a result, some numbers aren't quite representable exactly.
I don't think you'll be complaining on any of them.
Was having gigabit nice? Of course, but 350 is plenty. Most services won't even transfer that quickly to you and you can run a lot of video streams on that.
But the main way to tell would be if your router has a traffic meter on it since it has all devices going through it. Otherwise if you're mainly on PC you can use the task manager to see how much is going on and out
I don't know what country you're in, so something specific can be difficult to say as to where to go. It can often take a few days (3ish sometimes) for some tests to show positive, but get tested and "test where you play". It should be cheap or free. It probably isn't a big deal, so don't freak out, just get tested. Go to a clinic or a doctor's office, or call them first.
In Becky Chambers' Wayfarer series, there is a species who actually breathes methane. The focus though is less on how that actually happens and more on how they navigate as the only species for whom oxygen is toxic. It's a great series, btw. It's a not-quite-as-optimistic as star trek future, but still optimistic and with a vast range of species who are all intermingling as learning how to get along.
