  • This may vary by country, but here no, unless you affirmatively designate them as able to know your medical information, and as emergency contacts.

  • Oh no I would hate to meet my young me, because school sucked so bad, my dad died, my mom fell apart, I just don't think adult me could provide anything that would help with most of what I went through, so no, that is a hard no.

In terms of liking young me? I was selfish, like most kids I guess, interesting enough, trying to remember 10, that's still elementary, I was bored out of my skull most of the time.

  • I'm older and experienced and can say with confidence that no, most women are not into literal bodybuilder guys. Some, surely. But most? No. Ideal is in shape but not obsessive, bodybuilder looks obsessive.

And the wyvern is correct IMO it is the same as the absolutely jacked women. Most guys are not into bodybuilder ladies, probably for the same reason.

Fitness looks good on everyone. Obsession with getting big muscles, doping, extreme builds are not mainstream attractive. That has gone past general health and fitness.

  • Waaah, we don't have this. We have Hoopla music but the catalog looks so random. Somehow the freaking Lakeland library system has that but not Hillsborough? I will ask them I guess. I keep the YouTube music because the family plan is ok and the kids & husband use the videos, and their catalog is deep and interface getting better.

  • Sometimes I dry off after shower with oil on a damp washcloth, don't like oil on dry skin but sealing in the moisture while gently exfoliating is great.

Body lotion I like Nivea with creatine & Q10, except for the smell. Archipelago Botanicals Botanico de Havana is the best but too expensive for an everyday use.

  • I dunno. I bought a Honda new twice. Once showed up on the city bus and negotiated them down to a nothing down & low monthly payment that I could manage for 5 years (I am an accountant and first built a spreadsheet with present value calculations to figure out my target price) car is built to last 20 at least, I paid it off easily enough, then someone ran a stop sign and absolutely smashed it to bits, I took the insurance money as a down payment and got a better car new, same low monthly, paid that off years ago and have been driving it since 2014. This was mostly possible because Honda did a zero or 1% loan both times. Used to buy beaters but this has been so much nicer, and it's easier on cash flow. I hope I can keep this one for as long as I need a car (mostly use the electric bike now) because it has all the tech I want but none of the tech I don't want. Like at this point if I won the lottery I still don't know if I'd want a car of today.

New car at today's prices, and what they are, I kind of agree with you but used cars at today's prices seem just as bad of a deal. And it was not always like this. You used to be able to negotiate, they had too much inventory.

  • Everyone left in my department is amazing actually, so we go to each other because we all think differently, and yes sometimes my do everything different ways all the time approach really pays off. Work seems to think I do a good job but to me it feels more like occasional flashes of brilliance and longer stretches of slower work because I can't do anything I don't understand, have to see the whole picture first.

I am worried about OP, he put another post up about is it normal to care only about your romantic partner and no interest at all in anyone else.

  • Oh my gosh when I was younger I absolutely loved to sleep on speed, it felt so good. Caffeine would leave me wired but amphetamine - it's not that it made me sleepy exactly, but the sleep on speed was so delightful.

And yeah I gained 20 lb when I went to school in England and was fed 3 times a day, I had never eaten like that before. Just when I got hungry and remembered, lol.

Now I mostly just make sure to exercise - I was very active as a teen too but now it really works, if I exhaust my body my mind does settle.

  • Yeah my kids tell me I have ADHD, and by the current understanding of it I would agree (when I was growing up it only applied to literally hyperactive kids, I have seen some and it was extreme and disabling, they were wild and screaming, couldn't stop moving or learn.) and certainly have not a good understanding of time at all. And it's like I know they are ok, and that is satisfactory, I am happy if they are happy.

  • One of my coworkers says she has no fucks left when she feels like that. "Sorry, all my fucks have already been given."

  • No. I don't miss people while they are alive - I don't need to talk to them or see them, I know they are alive, and don't miss them somehow, yes friends, yes even my parents and siblings and grown kids, I love them but if I know they are ok that seems to be enough.

But when they are sick or hurting I care. I want them happy and healthy and if I can help I want to.

And when they die I miss them, so much.

Not sure what normal is, but no that doesn't sound normal. How do you feel about your own self? Do you care for your own body and mind?

  • Why is she always standing in front of a fan? Does she carry around a wee box fan to blow back her hair?

  • Really? Keep it so quiet.

Would do the things to the house that we say we'd do if we had all the money. But not more. Get the car my husband wants, but with a loan so it's not so obvious. I don't need one. Start putting the max into the retirement accounts and pull an extra couple thousand to pay for stuff each month.

I feel like this would basically need to be laundered like crime money, if we wanted to do more with it, even good things. Would think on it, but without a way to do that I would just use it.

  • Ok, this one is both gorgeous and seems delicious. I would swap the vinegar for a live meyer lemon vinegar or a champagne vinegar, and maybe goat cheese (or goat milk feta) but for sure will try this.

    My favorite fruit salad is:

  • I agree with this.

If I am measuring "for real" I use a scale and grams. Mine can also do ounces & pounds.

If I am measuring in a measuring cup, my kids laugh at me but I crouch down so the liquid is at eye level so that I can see it better. And most things don't need to be all that exact. The ones that do, convert them to weight measures.

  • Me too but that's the smallest part of parenting, right? I felt so good pregnant, no migraines, insane sex drive, so healthy and it did a lot for my relationship with my body in general. Labor not bad,the baby coming out is terrible but didn't take long, but after that it's a very long road. I did love raising kids, but don't think that has much to do with easy pregnancy.

  • Some seeds for the garden. Purple cauliflower.

  • I do not think I can pick a favorite, mostly I cook at home so just make what I want. But my most usual restaurant orders:

Burrito Jaliscience from Crazy Burrito. BBQ pork (asado, not like with BBQ sauce), refried beans, rice, grilled onions and their absolutely addictive so very hot hot sauce.

Pho from Pho Quyen. The one with thin sliced raw beef that the broth cooks.

Sag/Palak paneer and garbanzos masala from Rasoi Indian. And the curried okra.

And the best restaurant meal we ever had, ever, was at a Peruvian restaurant in Sarasota that is gone now. It was like 10 years ago and we still talk about it. Even the salad dressing was exquisite, every part of the meal so good. Seared tuna & a chicken dish with yellow sauce. Tableside bananas foster. Better than it sounds because every part of it was incredibly delicious.

  • For me it's timing not what I drink. Aperitif before supper, or a drink on a weekend afternoon, or wine with an early supper, fine.

Nightcap? No no no no no, going to bed too relaxed, even almost imperceptibly buzzed is a migraine.

And any night of 2 or more drinks will give me a hangover, my limit seems to be 1.5.
