  • I can't even imagine living in a house that doesn't have a whole-home* HVAC system pre-installed, especially in today's climate. It's so hot these days that I had to start turning mine on in March!

  • And it'd be to my brother, 'cause we have the same nose.

  • Sorry but I'm not just not interested in a show about rednecks (which I'm assuming it is going by the title alone).

  • 120x160, actually, but effectively close enough.

(e: also it's a static image; no need to indicate whether it's interlaced or progressive, because again, it's a static image. And before you get pendantic: yes I'm aware that PNGs can be interlaced or progressive—but this is a JPEG—and those terms mean something completely different when referring to static images, compared to video.)

  • Probably a spam bot. I reported them all.

  • Who's Ruth and what's "Ozark"?

  • The Orville too. And apparently this show called "Ark" too (going by other comments). And in books and video games too. Seems to be a common sci-fi trope.

  • This was also an episode of The Orville.

  • I'd like to start storing my money in EUR instead of USD. Is there an easy and simple way to do this digitally with minimal fees?

  • I never got to hear the "tada!" because we had a budget Sears 3.1 machine with a 386 at the time; the only sounds I heard were the beautiful pulse-width modulated screeching from the PC speaker.

Edit: At least I had a Turbo button, though.

  • Rinsing off with the shower head after a bath. You don't take your clothes out of the washer—nor your dishes out of the dishwasher—without doing a rinse cycle first, so why should it be any different for your body?

Dabbing in-and-out instead of wiping front-to-back/back-to-front. You're literally spreading shit all over your crack if you wipe instead of dab. All you gotta do is spread your cheeks before you sit down, and cleanup will be minimal cause everything will stay near your asshole instead of smearing all over your cheeks.

  • But I want to be able to PM, and I don't want to have to use a 3rd party service that not every Lemmy user will use to be able to do so.

  • Fuck that; I don't want to give out any more personal info than I have to. Lemmy just needs to implement a functional spam filter.

Remove PMs, and comment threads will just be clogged with people having one on one conversations. There's gotta be a better way.

  • We already have foldables in that price range.

  • Yes except for niche subs. I visit reddit about once a week now instead of daily. Can't wait for the day to come when I can leave for good.

  • Every. Fucking. Night.

    Having anxiety sucks.

Edit: I've even set redundant alarms, yet I still worry that both my phone and watch will die in the middle of the night. Surely doesn't help that it has already happened once before. Forgot to charge my watch one night, and then YouTube overheated my phone and somehow killed my battery while it was plugged into a 25w rapid charger. (They need to fix that bug already; YT will randomly overheat my phone at least once a month. This has been happening for at least 5 years now.)

  • Tell me how, then, because I don't know how to get around the font thing. Everybody's computer has a different set of fonts, and blocking browsers from seeing what fonts you have installed would help identify you even more.

  • As someone who likes the open sky feeling, this is why I drive a convertible instead.
