  • But actually the big thing that helped me was sitting down and assessing why I wanted to correct this stuff. It never gave me any satisfaction, it never lead to anything I liked, and a good deal of it was likely venting trauma from being talked down to all my life. Once I put it together it just kind of stopped happening.

  • Ideally for things like upcoming calendar events or notes on Homehub, maybe spec updates or added media, though jellyfin already gives us updates on that. Really just a reliable software that will send us a text or notification popup on our phones that I can connect other software to.

  • I use the old school method. Each password is a combination of my one preferred password, and three words that relate to the subject but are too funny to forget. For instant, Amazon would be "FuckJeffBezos123456Aa*" or something like that. I only have to remember my version of the "123456Aa*" because every time I think about amazon I already think "fuck Jeff Bezos".

    This uses your mind's natural ability to associate instead of just raw memory. It also guarantees your passwords always meet requirements.

    Lastly, record them all in the meat space in a small journal that I place in a conspicuous place. You can't hack a notebook and I'm not important enough to rob for access to my Lemmy account.

  • The rapid cooling with water actually shocks the egg shell and protein, making them separate, you can probably cook it for 2 or 3 extra min, then dunk them in ice water to get the perfect peal.

    For mine, you mix and season the eggs in a bowl, butter the sheet pan, pour the eggs into it and bake at 300 for about 10min. Add cheese as soon as it comes out. You get a flat sheet of scrambled egg that you then cut into squares to make patties.

    As for walking past each other, out of the question. We're both anxiety riddled human flamingo nerds, we'd be able to spot each other miles away. Ambush tactics are the only safe bet so it comes down to which of us was less distracted by the lighting and managed to impromptu a weapon first.

  • Meeting myself in any variation.

    I have no idea why, but I've always had this idea that if I met another me in the world it has to end in one of us dead. Doesn't matter on the origin, clone, copy, alternate timeline, time travel, doppelganger, replicant, don't care. There's absolutely no way around, it's on sight and to the death.

    This is one of my most consist feelings in life and I often wonder if it's because I consumed my twin in the womb. As a child I came up with an arrangement that if I accidentally time travelled I'd be able to use to contact myself indirectly so that we can't cross paths.

    Of course, the chance of any of these things happening is insanely low so it's kind of dumb to have a plan in place for its eventual occurrence.

  • You can also mix it up easily. This week we made two dozen using local tortillas. A third have bell-pepper and tomato, a third have ham, and the last are plain.

    Pro tip, wrap them in parchment before freezing, it stops freezer burn and gives you an easy wraper to reheat them in.

  • You can cook a dozen eggs in a sheet pan, slice them up into patties, put them in breakfast sandwiches, and freeze them. One pan to wash, about an hour of prep, and that's 12 breakfasts before you have to do it again.
