Chicken Fried Rice Enjoyer

  • Am I understanding correctly that the most expensive "premium plus" plan still has advertisements?

  • I have been using Everydollar for a few years, without paying for the bank integration and other stuff. It's from Dave Ramsey

    The good:

Free if you don't want bank integration/automatic data pulling

    Relatively simple interface

    Website based

    The Bad:

    Assumes a zero-based budget

Tries to force an app if using a mobile device

Sinking funds are implemented in an odd way

  • Who won the wars between the US and Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam? Was it the people with the bomber airplanes? Is the US winning the war against the Houthis?

  • I directly work with one of these people - they admit to spending all of their free time talking to the LLM chatbots.

On our work forums, I see it's not uncommon at all. If it makes you feel any better, AI loving is highly correlated with people you shouldn't ever listen to in the first place.

  • Anthropic keeps pulling this bullshit line of advertising. LLMs will make up stories when you ask them to.

  • “Q.R., using his mother’s old laptop, had unfettered access to the internet and began searching for hardcore pornography,” says the court. His mom claims this led to “pain, suffering, disability, disfigurement, and mental anguish; psychological injury; past and future love of enjoyment and pleasure of living.”

It's not the internet making your son feel those things, it's you.

  • My dude, you're talking about scams and using the BBB as a source?

Like Yelp, you can pay the BBB for a good rating & to hide negative reviews.

  • You have to change your steam settings to attempt to use proton. Once you do this, steam will allow the games to play. Practically everything will work once you do this.

  • It's been a long time since I actually used subnets, but IIRC you will need a physical interface for each network on the router regardless.

So let's say you set up your /24 network into 2x /25's, you will need an interface for the .0 network, and another for the .128 network

If you just have an interface for the switch, and another for the WAN connection, I don't think subnetting will work for what you're trying to do

  • I've bought Garmin devices explicitly because they didn't do these things, and promised not to do these things. Since I know they're not going to retract this decision, I am going to look into trying to get my purchases refunded.

  • They're AI so yes

  • How the hell does the American Arbitration Association think it's going to bind a third party to a decision? What agreement does Macmillan have with them?

I order the American Arbitration Association to pay me one billion dollars.

This has the same level of validity. Facebook's stooges can pound sand.

  • Constant CEO turnover? Bringing in a AWS/Oracle Executive? RIP Docker.

  • So if stealing copyrighted information to train an AI isn't fair use, then isn't pretty much every commercial LLM illegal?

  • Jeep is a Stellantis product. Literally the worst quality auto manufacturer in North America. They are circling the drain and jacking up the prices on their vehicles and making Pikachu faces when they don't sell. Their only customers are people who don't know how to research their purchases, and putting advertisement hell into their cars is another example of that. I suspect they will not be in business a decade from now.

  • I can't speak to every politician, but as a class, they seem to be elites that are disconnected from the average American.

AOC, having been a normal person, is able to bring the message that gets through to people without having it filtered through some sort of communication agency.

  • Thanks for the new word!

  • How can you tell it's been upfitted for wheelchair access?
