  • Spez: No no guys I'm one of the good ones, remember? We made a little safe space for The_Donald for a while and we just got rid of a bunch of Charlie Kirk stuff, we're doing what you wanted

Spez: No no seriously guys I'm one of you, I'm on your side

Spez: Jesus Christ stop it that hurts, stop it, you can't, you can't

  • Goebbels had a phrase for this strategy

  • This was the point of all the lawsuits against CBS, constantly blustering at the media and talking down to them, even all the way back to January 6th mobbing up on the reporters and beating them up and smashing their equipment. They're trying to look for people they can bully into going along with the fiction, paving the way for the horrors. And look, they found some.

  • What the FUCK is this story

Public records show that the suspect is unaffiliated with any party, while both his parents are registered Republicans.

Authorities also said that ammunition from a bolt-action rifle recovered after the shooting included inscriptions such as, “notice bulges OWO what’s this?” “Hey fascist! Catch!” and “If you read this, you are gay LMAO.” Another casing bore the phrase “Bella ciao,” in an apparent reference to the popular Italian anti-fascist anthem.

On Sunday, however, Cox told NBC’s Meet the Press that the suspect’s political ideology was “very different” from his family’s.

“There clearly was a leftist ideology with this assassin,” he said, citing information from Robinson’s family and romantic partner.

Cox later told CNN’s State of the Union that Robinson lived with his transgender partner, though investigators were still trying to determine whether their romantic relationship was a motive behind the shooting.

The 22-year-old suspect was also steeped in “dark” corners of the internet, Cox said.

  • "Meatball Ron" was another stroke of real genius. "Sloppy Steve" was another decently good one, but honestly, "Weird Stephen" is fuckin' perfection.

  • Or, he could put it through, and make friends enough with the terrifyingly oligarchic forces that run our society that he might all of a sudden become the "default choice" in the same way that Biden and Hilary were, and they might agree to kneecap anyone who tries to Bernie Sanders him. And we might have six more weeks of winter, so to speak.

  • Got it. I tried to watch the movie but I wasn't into it. I may check out the comics, they are clearly a masterpiece. Sometimes you don't have to look at too much of something to tell.

  • Trump’s biographer Michael Wolff previously said on The Daily Beast Podcast that the president has a less-than-flattering nickname for one of his most loyal henchmen: “Weird Stephen.”

Honestly, even with his brain mostly rotted away now, little glimpses of Trump's idiot-savant ability to bully at a grandmaster level can still shine through sometimes.

  • Is this "Weird Tales"? I found some of them in a comics collection when I was little and some of the stories fucked with me.

  • Headline: ", but they say it’s worth it"

Article: "Carla Rover once spent 30 minutes sobbing"

  • It is shocking to remember sometimes, but hypocritical self-centered ass gaskets are represented in every racial grouping. The white people voting for Trump are fucking themselves just as are the Cuban people voting for Trump, and they all got hoodwinked into it via pretty much the same methods.

  • Trump's just not a reliable partner. He's just recently with his genius-brain managed to figure out that Putin has been lying to him and treating him like an idiot this whole time, and he doesn't like that because he's supposed to be always the liar and never the lie-ee, and so now he's gunning for Russia, which they can't really do anything about.

(Well, almost nothing. I kind of suspect that the sudden furor about Trump and Epstein, when we've basically known the two of them were BFFs for decades now and plenty of far worse things including someone who swore testimony that Trump raped her as a child, is because Russia is trying to punish him. The weird factor that some of the Russian assets like MTG are really pushing the Epstein thing bolsters the credibility a little bit, too.)

  • Wait, what the fuck? I missed this. Where can I read more?

  • Going and hanging out in DC is not an illegal order.

Stirring resentment among the military is the absolute best route to making sure that when they start issuing actually illegal orders (which they are definitely planning to do), they won't be followed. The fascism isn't good, but the fact that is has this particular footshooting nature is pretty excellent. Also, the people doing stuff like setting up loudspeakers in DC to play Gen. Milley's speech about Trump, dictators, and the role of the military in a free democracy are doing the good lord's work in every single way.

Also, I'm pretty skeptical that this is accidental. All kinds of convenient little accidents start happening when people start strongly resenting the position they're being put in and there are easy things they can do to spread the word.

  • Honestly it seems like a fine solution on both sides.

"You have secured yourself an honored platform and you interact with it. Please buy me my own honored platform, so that we may remain as equals in the matter of the computer. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

  • Yep, I'm pretty sure that's the one. Thank

  • Ones I have not seen in other comments, although you probably have enough at this point:

    • The Fifth Element - Yes I know the director is a sexual predator, it's still really really good. One of the most creative movies ever made
    • Run Lola Run - Surreal modern-style impossible narrative movie from way before movies really did that, also very well done
    • O Brother Where Art Thou - Damn, we're in a tight spot
    • Schindler's List - Warning, very very very heavy obviously, but there is a reason it won all the awards
    • Conan the Barbarian - You may or may not like B movies, but if you like "Sword and Sandal" B movies, this one is the king
    • The Sting - Absolutely top-notch gangster movie from before your parents were born
    • Office Space - If you have ever worked a crappy tech job this movie will become your spirit animal in time of need

I've also heard great things about "Highlander." Don't watch the sequels.

There are also miniseries. "Stranger Things" season 1, "Chernobyl," and "Game of Thrones" up until about season 5. Yeah, it's a shame they never made any more after that, but you can just let it be. You'll know roughly when. If the three female assassins from Dorne come on the screen, you went too far, just turn it off immediately and be sure to take a shower right away.

    Edit: Additions

  • This is a remarkably good list. I know you're getting a ton of recommendations OP, but this is really a very comprehensive one with an absolutely excellent balance of "real good quality" combined with "easy and rewarding to watch."
