  • I get paid ~$17USD per day if I make enough comments. Thats more money than my cousin makes as a lorry driver.

  • Unfounded allegations based on "memory recovery" (hypnosis) and published without an ounce of journalistic integrity in a bipartisan co-ordinated "flood the zone" wave versus attacking a woman in a crowded room and verbally berating women so much that your entire campaign was staffed by dudes before Chuck Schumer had to fly in women staffers from DC just to help save those optics

  • I am of the horribly misogynistic opinion that we shouldn't throw things at women when they disagree with us in public

  • Yeah. You can tell because he lost the primary.

  • Back to where we were a month ago in one individual poll with an even worse candidate. Congrats on the win Chuck!

  • You're right, he's just homophobic. He said that the drone murder of a Palestinian child was "unconscionable." Zero call for the dissolution of the Israeli state, Band-Aid on a bullet hole. There's no doubt in my mind what Schumer's pick will actually be voting for

  • Gotta love how all it took was a guy getting shot in his car to take the Maine race all the way from "100% going to win" to "100% going to lose" and then to "maybe Schumer's homophobic, Bibi-approved replacement candidate can win." Truly gripping politics

  • As would I.

Youre the fucking artist! What do you mean, you spent a hundred grand in labor?

  • Burying the best part IMO

It’s also clear, however, that Furnari, despite no one having commissioned him to make the statue, was hoping to make money. He said he had expected unnamed wealthy figures to donate to him – he spent $100,000 on steel, resin and labor – but that has not come to pass.

In desperation, Furnari set up an online fundraising campaign, hoping to raise an initial $150,000, but potentially millions of dollars, which he said would allow him to take the statue on tour. As of Thursday, he had raised $1,400.

“I was thinking that it was going to resonate with the world, with whoever, but man, people are strange out there,” he said. “Meaning like, nobody is really coming up with support, especially financial support. So far I’ve spent all my money on this.”

Regardless of his broken foot and light wallet, Furnari said he did not really believe the Kirk statue was cursed. “The statue is not cursed. The statue is blessed,” he said, in spite of all available evidence – but he has certainly been left angry.

“Things financially are a total, absolute nightmare. It’s like wow. People are cheap, man. You know, people talk, talk – I know lots of people out there, and everybody’s so cheap. You know, like, it’s disgusting how cheap they are.”

$100K for that is insane, no matter who the subject is. I thought it was going to be cast copper or something at least. It's just plain steel. You can buy it scrapped by the ton for like $200.

  • Liquid cancer is much better

  • Lmao. First one that really got me in a while, props to the artist

  • Was I? I literally cant keep track anymore lol

  • was

  • Sounds like a scrapped plotline from Infinite Jest

  • The only correlation I can infer here is: Dem president = no fraud, Trump president = fraud. Am I supposed to be thinking something different here?

  • Surprisingly tame if that's all the hype was about tbh

  • Get rid of Israeli influence and Trump, MAGA, and the GOP as a whole goes away forever

  • If you still feel like you need to provide "aid" to a country with a higher QoL than yours, higher ranking healthcare and education than yours, better-equipped social services than yours, and higher GDP per capita, you are a sad, brainwashed, controlled paypiggy.

  • Shame, one of the most endearing and quirky Americanisms. I was rather fond of it
