  • Thanks for the long reply.

Did not know the radio function existed. On mobile at least I can't find it on the artists page? I have to go into the ... Menu on a track in a playlist?

I listen to a lot of instrumental stuff while working, so I may be going too indy? Someone like soundcriters should should have something on their page?

I dislike that you have to go to a playlists page to play it in shuffle, you can't do it from the playlists menu.

Double clicking should play a track but doesn't.

  • They don't have any other recommendations apart from those human made ones though? Couldn't find what I wanted.

The UI is awful and their artist pages are normally blank for indy artists.

The migration is pretty seamless though, and they apparently pay their artists way better.

  • It's windows + : for me?

  • The 'product' in this case isn't the website, it's the data.

Are you willing to spend days/months researching things and gathering data? For it to be useful, you have to be doing more than just repeat marketing data.

If your going to do it, do the research first, find a cool way of displaying it, then see if anyone is interested. If they are, consider making the platform.

  • I switched to it. Not bad, but it's music discovery is awful compared to Spotify.

Do any of the platforms have an 'instumental' tag for music? Feels like it should be a basic feature....

  • You don't have an open banking requirement for banks?

  • Huh, they originate from central America. TIL

  • What vital work do they do, other than feeding birds?

    Eating my beans definitely isn't!

  • If you build it barefoot, you should mostly be fine static wise, just keep touching the case.

Remember to put things like m.2 drives in before big heat sinks/ GPUs go over the top.

The fucking io shield, make sure none of its little tabs are sticking into any ports.

    Don't mix power supply cables.

Remember to take the cover off the heatsink cold plate.

  • I assume because the most expensive plan is what all the power users have?

  • I have a fun budget. A % of my monthly surplus goes I to it, and everything (excluding food) that I want rather than need come out of that pot.

I then have no guilt over spending my fun money, unless I think I could have more fun using it for something else.

  • New windows! Just over a year old, they all open outwards with the hinges on the wall sides.

I looked at getting tilt and turn ones, but I could get triple glazed normal ones for like half the price.

  • I stopped at a service station in the middle of nowhere.... Had a sauna!

One of the museums I went to... Had a sauna!

Lots of sauna boats around, + this. Not sure how hot it can get given that I assume the doors open every time it goes round?

  • It's not too bad. The key thing if your in the UK is to open a stocks and shares ISA (similar to a cash ISA, but for stocks) that means you don't have to worry about taxes.

Other than that... Be aware that things are very volatile due to trump. He can say something and stocks drop 10% then recover by the end of the month.... Or not.

If you are in for the long term, the worst thing you can do is panic and sell when that happens.

  • Liebherr is European and good. Expensive though.

Depth is the measurement most forget, check it fits. A deeper one is a good way to get more capacity.

Make a decision on your fridge freezer split. I do a lot of batch cooking, so went for 50/50 to get more room in the freezer.

  • From the dot graph, it implies that las Vegas is one of the worse options? And Birmingham is somehow best?

Not sure I'm reading that right?

  • Is this a US only thing? I have no email and no Gemini app (although there are settings in system)

  • That's fair.

Didn't think about coops, I assume that if they went completely underwater their creditors would still own them though.

Could all still work, but could be clunky, would probably all get worked out in time.

  • Even if we ignored the immediate collapse of the world economy, if you were starting from scratch how would you get anyone to take risks and put money/time into creating a business?

Even if people did decide to do it, no banks would be able to lend to you (what banks? They need a massive amount of money to start) as they would have absolutely nothing as collateral.
