Nobody said you shouldn't act responsible within your abilities, just that the system won't be repaired by individuals consuming differently in any way (Big corpos would just adapt to extract your money in a new way). Consumers can't do jack shit about the greater economical structures at play except voting, and, well… apparently that also doesn't do enough.

As long as they're not routed through main commute hubs. Where I live (near a major german city, so there indeed is at least something) all the bus connections to the closest subway station of the city are routed over a small portion of a major street. That alone causes massive delays every morning and often also in the evening when everyone pours in- and out of the city in their gas guzzlers.
I'm very much for having waaay more (semi-subway) trains even in rural areas. Even if it's just small ones that never exceed 50kmh or something, having a trustworthy schedule would be worth it. Connect every milk can! (After giving it 5G)

This reminds me why I love the NieR series so much. Ultimately throws away the concept of pre-defined "protagonist" and "antagonist" and screws over the player's emotions with the conflict itself instead.

A healthy social / family system would distribute that burden to more people, but for some reason our broken western christian idea was to atomise society so everyone's far away from each other (and feels alone), then force the two parents to both have to work (if there are two) while also making commercial help (Nanny) unaffordable for most people. More than two of course is forbidden.
There'd always be time for stuff if e.g. just three couples from a family lived under a roof / next to eath other (e.g. grandparents, parents, cousin). Just a garbage culture that builds shitty homes with zero incentive or help to live close together, shitty infrastructure and has shitty ideas about the "nuclear family". It's not the child.
I have a GameSir G4 and it's trash, utterly awful input lag and the connection never worked correctly with any device other than Android either. Basically unusable without a cable, I'd never recommend their stuff.
I think the money aspect is a big one with this. Someone with a Steam Deck and/or Switch doesn't see the need (well, Switch maybe unless it's jailbroken), but if you just want something and money is tight then a new 50€ controller and your existing phone gets you way further.
There are a few really good gamepads (or smartphone holders for e.g. Dualshock).
Taking a premium phone from a few years ago and slapping a controller on it genuinely makes an awesome mobile console. And inbetween all the garbage there even are a few really good native games, such as the remastered GTA Trilogy.
The quality is good, I give that to them. But their pricing, ownership model and especially opinion about copyright is abysmal (weren't they the ones trying to patent relative motion?). Nintendo has some genuinely good artists and engineers who clearly love their job but they take the carrot-and-stick approach to the extreme and it's disgusting.
Yeah, it's abysmal. I still rock a OnePlus 7 Pro from 2019 with /e/OS, that damn thing can run Crysis (I tried, works with Winlator - lots of compatibility bugs though). The SoCs are so powerful Valve designs a whole stand-alone VR system around it able to play full-blown PC titles. Modern phones got crazy performance.
Good games without all the extorsion money simply can't compete in the attention game though and people won't pay money for something worthwhile if there's a storm of crap "for free". The internet and digital spaces in general got utterly broken by surveillanve capitalism. But, you see… it's for ✨the economy✨.
I mean… if you only have a console (or even worse: only a Smartphone) I get why it looks like that to people. Some people apparently don't even have a PC or laptop anymore.
At least two distinct processes. Since we don't know how consciousness emerges we can't tell if the brain stem is strictly required, so the split-brain phenomena you're probably referencing might only shows that we got two major regions for higher brain function but not two separate… "souls"?
I swear we gonna learn sooooo much about consciousness once we're able to artificially (and safely, temporarily) link two brains together.
I had a teacher like that. He thought this would animate the students to be better (by making the best grade basically unobtanium). It of course had the very opposite effect.

It can't. It takes WAY too long to build, and for what it is the whole work isn't worth it.
The volume of renewables and batteries (Incl. Sodium-Ion, great tech for the grid) we can produce outpaces nuclear by a long shot, is safer, cleaner, available quicker, easier to install, easier to regulate (once the batteries are up, it's a combo deal) and especially more "for the people" (you can carry and install smaller units of solar and wind anywhere).
I also thought nuclear (fission) made somewhat sense a few years ago, but it really doesn't in any way shape or form. Countries who're dead-set on nuclear such as France are already running into SO mamy problems. They're building a huge financial pile of shit for the current and next generation to be fucked over by.

What you describe is being used by now. The permanent eye-tracking got low-level support on Snapdragon SoCs by 2023 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, "Sensing Hub"), the Honor Magic 6 phone advertised itself as able to "open apps by looking at them"; those desperate fucks really tried to sell this as a good thing to users. Though even this article eventually spilled the beans:
"Content Personalization: Adapt news feeds based on the focus and duration of your gaze."
They want you to think this is a good thing, but it's clearly dystopian. And already 3 years old, so by now they certainly found even more ways to make everyone miserable & manipulated.
The Google Assistant famously still listened to the microphone and uploaded data even if you tried to stop it, so I genuinely always recommend everyone to either flash your phone with GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, /e/OS or iodéOS immediately or throw it away. Modern mainline phones are a health hazard.
