I had a lot of fear and apprehension when I switched roles, but I’ve settled in at my current job and I have no regrets about leaving despite loving the people I worked with at my old job. I’d say it took 6-9 months before I really felt like I knew what I was doing in my new role. Old job was seriously underpaying me, so it’s nice to earn what I’m worth now, and I keep in touch with my old coworkers.
Without knowing what the red flags are I have a hard time saying if it’d be worth going back, though.
Ah yes power metal is quite a thing in and of itself! Feel free to do whatever you want with this knowledge, but there’s also Goblin Metal, my most favorite being a band called Necrogoblikon. There’s no doubt some band singing in Tolkien Elvish to round out the trinity.
Death metal. I’m pretty clean cut and tat free so people are really taken aback when I tell them one of my favorite acts is called Cattle Decapitation.
I had a coworker with this allergy. She randomly had an attack at work and couldn’t find her EpiPen, it was really scary. Thankfully another coworker used his on her and she ended up being ok. We’re still not sure what triggered it; she suspects there may have been some sort of latex in the asphalt binder that a construction crew was paving with across the street.
I recall her going nuclear on bluesky about the rest of the platform not supporting Israel enough, but I haven’t seen or heard much from her for a while. I see I haven’t missed much. Maybe this is why Leo hasn’t had her on TWiT in ages, lol.
Glycogen is an energy storage molecule that is more easily accessible (easier to convert into glucose, what your cells actually burn) by the body than fat is. I would assume this organ was a dedicated store for it.
Edit: ah that’s what I get for commenting before reading the damn article. Scientists haven’t confirmed that it’s definitely an energy storage organ, but it’s one of the leading theories.
I see a lot of the bangers I would also put on my personal Mount Rushmore but I’m shocked not to see any Meshuggah on here. Bleed is an absolute face melter. Dirge for November by Opeth is also up there for me. I put that song on whenever I’m really down and oddly enough it helps me feel a bit better despite it being a song about killing yourself in a bathtub.
Oh and Parpaing by Igorrr is another song that goes hard as fuck. I can hit lifting PRs with that on. Honestly anything Corpsegrinder is belting out I’m here for. He just did a feature with Shadow of Intent that is similarly brutal.
Yup, and I’d very much rather not have to wait 40 years like it took for Falange in Spain to fall apart.
