  • Well, to answer your question, yes. Depending on the nation and the time period, the laws and rules around slavery could vary wildly. To my best recollection, there wasn't a version of chattel slavery. Most of the time, the slaves were integrated into a given society or sacrificed. Fun fact scalping was introduced by Europeans.
