  • Idk. I'm not an expert in anything. I'd just caution that if something seems too good, it probably is. I know what it's like to get your heart set on something, especially a piece of land you can call home.

  • That water looks pretty toxic. Probably alright for bathing and washing, but I wouldn't take my word for even that much. I'd look to put that plot of land in a larger context. Is it near a mine or an industrial area? Is it a problem that can be fixed by drilling a new, deeper well in a different spot?

    Im not sure I would buy a house with water like that, or at least have some heavy duty filters in place. Lead poisoning is no joke. Be careful

  • I miss incandescent and high pressure sodium. I remember walking out of school in the winter as a kid, middle of winter, sun already down, cold still air, so still. The snowdrifts would just radiate the warmest orange red yellow light. It just suffused everything in a blanket of comfy vibes. I can still hear the crunch and squeal of my footsteps.

    I'm probably viewing it with rose tinted glasses as we are wont to do with childhood memories. But it's still kinda sad. It doesn't get cold enough anymore, and the lights are mostly out of production now. And I know we switched for good reason too. Still miss it though.

  • Which always confused me. As far as conserving resources and promoting a stable and healthy society goes, it seems to be a leftist thing.

    All I've ever seen out of "the right" in my lifetime is the exact opposite. From "drill baby drill" to the "still waiting on wmds out of Iraq" to alienating and pissing off large segments of the population with performative bigotry (I know their views cause real harm, I just mean that their motivation seems to be to perform, read whine, rather than actually trying to solve problems) .

    The right, Republicans that is, always seem to be waiting in the wings to piss kerosene on the fire. I mean what are these people actually conserving?

  • Easy fix: don't buy this garbage to begin with. It's terrible for the environment, terrible for your privacy, of dubious value to begin with.

    If every man is an onion, one of my deeper layers is crumudgeon. So take that into account when I say fuck all portable speakers. I'm so tired of hearing everyone's shitty noise. Just fucking everywhere. It takes one person feeling entitled to blast the shittiest music available to ruin everyone in a 500yd radius's day.
