  • My buddy lives in a coop here in town, and he was given the job of investigating the odd smell from the chimney. They live in an old school building. He opens up the hatch to find a pile of (mostly) headless pigeons. They all thought they had a phyco serial killer in their midst. It turns out the peregrine falcons were catching the pigeons, eating only the heads, and dropping the bodies down the chimney.

  • Look into clover. Bugs love it, drought resistant, super low maintenance

  • Have a sip of water that's been solar heating in a rubber garden hose for a pavlovian blast from the past!

  • And garbage pail kids

  • RIP Hambe. He was the best of us.

  • There were Romans (basically Greek cosplayers), some dude with elephants who may or may not have been a cannibal. Then some dude got nailed to some lumber for trying to tell people to chill and love eachother. A few thousand years of fighting about that. Columbo sailed to India but found Aztecs instead. The cubs finally won... And that about brings us up to date.

  • Oh! And also blizzards are gonna start soon in some of the higher mountain passes. So if you're going that way some winter kit so you don't freeze to death in case of emergency!

  • Former long range trucker here. You can knock that drive out in three days if you go for it. This advice mostly applies to N. America.

Trip plan trip plan trip plan. Where are you getting gas, food, and lodging? Spending 15min per meal to figure out where you're going and what you're having adds up quick. Picking gas stations at random can backfire, some are quite aways off the freeway and can suck 30mins out of your day. All these little, seemingly minor delays add up quickly. Could easily add hours to your total drive time if you're not careful.

Rest areas are your friends. Easy off, easy on. Picnicking areas, usually cleaner restrooms than gas stations. You can sleep in your car there too.

Entertainment wise I was always partial to audiobooks. Obviously I couldn't play steam deck while driving, but audiobooks allow you to take in the scenery as well. May I recommend Dungeon Crawler Carl, Murderbot, and the Bunny Mcgarry series?

Be safe! If you get the feeling you're too tired to drive you probably are, pull over. Good luck and have fun!

  • I attempt to shatter my ceramic coffee mug and fashion a makeshift shank. I biff it, hit an artery, bleed out. I declare victory from beyond the veil on the grounds I prevented them from killing me

  • Steve Buscemi is a national treasure!

  • Pickleball. It's still exercise, but it's never left me panting. Idk how severe your issue is. But it's way less exerting than tennis or volleyball.

  • Focus on making a good friend group (I know almost as hard as dating). You'll meet friends of friends, which is where all the good dating prospects be in my experience. Friends first, the rest will come.

  • I had a cat (Sharptooth) that would look out the window over his shoulder and try to paw food off your plate. RIP Sharpie, he was the best kitty

  • I have actually used a knife to open cans for months on end. I couldn't be bothered to buy a new can opener.

It was a cheap kitchen knife, it pretty much ruined it after a few months, (although I'm sure someone with patience and a whet stone could have brought it back to life.) it's totally doable and far easier than you might think. Kinda messy tho.

The moral of the story is buy a can opener.

  • Day late and a dollar short.

  • No Italians or pollaks tho. Gotta have standards...

  • I do the same. They chose to outsource a critical piece of their business to unpaid labor. They get what they paid for
