  • Ohh so male chicks don't go into the food grinder as soon as they are sorted? I saw the popular video years ago, where they inspect the tips of a 3 day old chick and the males went to dog food...Thank you for your answer!

  • I will definitely check him out, thank you!

  • Interesting! Thank you for your answer!

  • Yeah I haven't killed anything that wasn't a bug - so that would.be definitely challenging part.

  • Not surprising :(Think positive! You can do ducks and turkeys too! Ducks and geese are really tasty!

  • Very true!

  • That's a terrible and good thing to know. Thank you!

  • Thank you for the answer!

  • I was curious. Maybe down the line I will have some - but with all these answers I got really interesting info.It is more like, when I go to tractor supply co and they have those adorable chicks - you start to wonder. Or at least I do :D

  • Yes, they are - bot how much does it take to grow them?According to comments they can be 10c for a chick, 18 chickens can be fed by $30, and theze are only 4 week - one month old chickens. That makes it about $3-4 to grow, then you kill, clean, ship and cook it and then put it in a fancy package that cost about c20 of not more...

  • Climate town did a great video about the green packaging - basically the meat industry. So yeah I'm not too keen on them, but a girl needs to eat.

  • Thank you for your answer!

  • My gosh. A factory that sorts the right eggs, batches them, kills the male ones, keep females alive and delivers a million of them ...

  • It was more of a curious question. I have no energy to take on this amount of responsibility - but I might in the future. :)
