  • Excuse me to dumbass who wrote this memo but Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday IS the federal holiday.

ARE THEY PLANNING ON CHANGING IT TO SOMETHING ELSE? WHITE POWER ASSUMPTION DAY OR SOMETHING

  • These fuckers are all in.

  • Pixelfed is really easy to engage with and get a feed started. I think that's let to its popularity growth. I've added mastedon and peertube and neither has made it as easy to onboard.

I still remember the curve with Lemmy. Pixelfed is clearly the easiest to get started with, and then it's just pictures!

  • I mean, it's the Associated Press.

  • Oh my gosh, I accidentally stepped on a landmine, didn't I? I'm not a "fren" in that sense, just trying to diffuse tension with a silly word. I had no idea that meaning existed.

For the record, I once accidentally used triple parenthesis for emphasis, not knowing it was an antisemitic symbol.

So I have a track record of accidentally presenting myself negatively. Just unlucky I guess.

  • Murkowski has been "theatrically" opposing Trump for a long time.

Way to build support within the opposition.

  • So when Republicans abandon or stand up to Trump, you will not encourage them.

    Got it.

  • Any SOURCES for that? Alaska is a lot of land with a lot of resources.

Seems kinda wrong. Interesting thought tho.

  • You gotta have hope, fren.

  • You may be right. I wish we had another R like Corker. He was a decent guy with a backbone.

  • I don't get this repeated talking point. Do you just want people to say you were right? Do you want to quash discussion of politics?

I have a feeling that comments like these, that point backward with blame and promote hopelessness, are foreign disinformation.

They are pointless. Help or get out of the way.

  • I found this interesting article. I think I'd feel the same as you do, but I would try to get to know his boyfriend. It's not approval, you've already made that point, but it's acceptance of your son as a person you trust to make his own decisions (even if you still have doubts about that!).

You can't change the situation by staying away or "protesting", you will only be undermining your relationship with your son. And that's too valuable to lose just to make a point.

  • This year

  • The Supreme Court is gonna be real busy.

  • You understand that if they didn't care enough to vote, their votes wouldn't have necessarily gone to Kamala? You get that right?

I'm so sick of blaming people who stayed home. They have that right. StFU. They didn't have an obligation to save you, and if they had all voted, they might have voted 50/50.

  • Please don't mention Bernie anymore. They postponed him and now he's just too old, we need to stop with the old people. AOC is a great choice, and there needs to be full backing on that because the old corporate guard has some loser in mind, I assume.

    Probably Kamala again.
