  • Use mkvtoolnix and handbrake. You can quickly drop and add elements of a file with mkvtoonix and handbrake will convert most anything to H265. Its pretty fast with gpu encoding.

  • If you read this Andrew, most of us support your reasoned use of AI. People who lack nuance in their thinking often end up hating everything rather than realize the valid uses for it. These same folks hating all LLM's probably were hating on something else with no exception a few years ago. I use rsync and have for years. Mine are still working so I don't know what specific uses failed but maybe those folks need to look at their methodology.

  • Don't know if its the same thing since municipal wells are usually deeper than private wells. My grandpa had a well that was only three hundred feet deep. One summer there was a drought and he used well water to keep his forty acres of crops, mostly potatoes alive. His water turned brown when he drained the well down more than usual. By November it was back to normal. It could be the stress that horrible facility has put on the local water table that has caused this and wont stop until they are stopped.
