You honestly thought I was claiming there are Isreali suicide bombers? Although, now that truck-bombs are an IDF go-to for levelling neighborhoods in Gaza, who knows what's next?
Doesn't change the fact that Muslims started blowing themselves up intentionally only well-after the Zionists took-over Palestine. If either of us is trying to de-couple or entwine things where they don't belong so-as to make arabs look bad, its you.
One of us believes suicide bombers and proxy-bombers have reasons or circumstances leading to the things as they've done, literally sacrificed their own lives and those of innocents for, whether thought-out-at-all or misguided-extorted-manipulated-or-desperate ... and the other is pretending that acknowleging the existance of suicide bombers is be-smirching multiple ethnicities, cultures and a religion.
You know why the characters in the OP aren't white Irish Catholics or hostages themselves? Because the IRA is irrelavent today and we don't have back-stories for these two; What they are doing isn't the point beyond the extreme contrast with their circumstances versus what the one is anxious about. If anything, we as the reader are being asked to empathize with the passenger, and/or the driver for having to put up with him.
