  • There is a point at which we have not struggled enough to understand and empathise with our elders, sure, but almost 100% of the time, its the reverse that's happened;

They have not seen enough of our struggles and lack the capactity to understand or empathize with them as struggles at all. Their struggles, and later comfort, let's be honest, have numbed them and fitted blinders to their judgement.

  • Nah. It ties back to the idea that an adult's handwriting is unique. If everything else matches, but every word is spelled correctly you might have a forgery on your hands, or they could be writing under duress.

Didn't help that all of the "high-society"/"high-minded" types were as obsessed with riddles and codes as the most extreme would-be sleuths you'll meet today ... or maybe the current generation of average net denizen has lost out on something.

  • The article is not written for them.

  • Someone didn't read the article...

  • She might be effectively retired, but she’s worked as an actor for decades. Even on The View, she’s portraying a character for money. Fuck with Guinan at your peril.

People don’t suddenly lose their claim to “working class” when they’ve saved enough to retire. She worked as an actress for decades to get where she is now.

Why don’t we go tell Tim Walz that twenty-plus years enlisted and working as a teacher means he was never working class, just because it didn’t leave him poor in the end?

  • Worst bartenders I've known would only be virgin by choice, and they would have a hard time with that versus the pushy bar-flies.

Wait, is that another layer of joke?

  • Where the hell have you been? Even I've already heard about this tyranical oligarch. Haiti has no effective government, and this fascist is largely to blame.

  • A Pimp Named Slickback is more progressive than too many people on both sides, and basically all of the DNC itself. Fuck all that "homies before hoes" non-sense. The corpos and military-industrial complex are homies, btw.

  • I personally know many who wanted the US out of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, and trusted Trump over Hillary to do it. I know no-one who openly wanted the same and voted for her. I myself voted third-party the last two elections before this year, and Biden has only escalated our entanglements in middle-eastern conflics.

Jesus, just look at Biden's rhetoric on Israel and Iran. Its downright bizarely pro-war, pro-genocide(in its failure to remotely acknowlege such is happening), and absolutely tone-deaf to what voters want.

The fact that you yourself have now said what you've said on the topic proves the opposite of your claims. You know no conservatives today, and you mock the notion that anyone is against the war more than you point out any reason anyone should have voted for Harris over Trump.

Muslims were a DNC lock-in vote till now, and absolutely no-one failed to warn them that was changing.

  • Most amusing part was on first glance, somehow, I got: "For your safety, I have dwelt in the mountains..." I kind of wish I hadn't checked myself.

  • Maybe, but starting with sanctified ground is planning to fail. I pity the necromancer whose army or love or whatever is burried here.

  • The most believable part of the whole thing. Standard "Tech Incubator" bullshit.

  • ... or forced to take-on un-related work and afraid of discouraging newbies.

  • Social Credit is real, yo. Particularly, networking with people who have the discretionary funds to spend on expensive equipment.

  • I think you meant "consistent", but you know what? That title looks consistent enough to me, and I'm saving your comment for copy-pasta. Just beautiful.

  • "I'm you from the future. I didn't invent a time machine or anything, but I did promise to try to scare you into doing more with your life. Clown school is SO MUCH fun though!" pulls out a syringe, shoots up right there, overdoses, dies

Now its an existential crisis. Please the people that are so petty they'll send him back in time to traumatize themselves, or go enjoy Clown School? Crippling New Fear of making decisions: unlocked.

  • Not gonna lie, he scared the bejeezus outta me. Like, I just happened to look before I would have sat down. Animal-enamas-and-even-vaguely-adjacent-experiences rank damn near the top of my NO THANK YOU list.

There's a creek across the alley, but its also on the other side of a neighbor's property. I was never concerned at where he came from or how, just surprised he made the trip unscathed.
