  • Indeed. I do try to at least have a reason, even if it's a bit silly-feeling.

  • Once every couple weeks or so.

  • Damn, homie really putting her to work, huh? Sheeeeeeesh

  • For a 350 to get 7mpg it would have to be a race built engine or simply run like garbage. I don't even know how you could get a 305 to get that poor mileage but 🤷‍♂️

  • Oh wow. The one my friend had got almost 20. He gave me a hard time because it got better mileage than my Jeep XJ of the time.

  • A friend of mine had a Caprice Classic. Such a good car. It was soft and smooth and the economical 305 V8 made good torque while still getting good mpg!

  • Yes, slow by modern (and my) standards but compared to older cars it's quite good. And while peak power is low it makes decent torque in the midrange and is tuned well for daily driving.

  • My 2014 Kia Rio has crank windows, no cruise control, 6-spd manual trans. No touchscreens--only buttons.Car is very slow (1.6L non-turbo) but gets ~36mpg average. I've gotten as much as 40 when actually driving for mpg.

  • Windows 10 is endinggg! = Jesus is coming!

  • A better deal only if you have 30 holes.

  • That doesn't actually change anything, though.

  • Hole-y and on fire:

"This program is preventing Windows from shutting down:"

  • dies

    Interesting word choice.

  • That's sad. Pet cats really need to be kept indoors where they can't affect the local wildlife and are also safe from their own predators.

  • My comment was not about you specifically. I thought i wrapped it up with general terms clearly enough to show that but maybe not.

  • If your optimism is lost by considering other aspects of the situation then i would argue you aren't optimistic, you're distracted or deluded.

An optimist would see the other aspects and remain positive, because that's optimism -- just how the opposite would go for a pessimist.

Someone purposefully ignoring or avoiding other aspects ofnthe situation is seeking distraction or delusion, imo, and wouldn't be considered optimistic.

  • I think we need to study why coffee drinkers are so violent.

  • There used to be birds around and i would get nests built under my awning. I used to like hearing them but now, instead, my neighborhood is filled with stray cats and so as you can imagine: no more birds.
