  • As lemmy has grown I see more and more posts like this, stuff only kids would post. It makes sense that some kids would end up here, but they need to understand the vast majority aren't kids and they should keep to their own communities and/or instance(s).

  • Ok, first thing, did you not understand the image is a joke? Secondly, you have failed so badly at trying to use logic. And you'd notice it everywhere on the earth, both because of the moon and also just light scattering, it would become darker than ever before. And as said, most people would be asleep on the dark side, which is obvious. And it's not like the astronomers etc. have some kind of worldwide siren to get everyone's attention, most people wouldn't notice it for a while, even if they posted about it online.

  • The main delivery app in my country has a section for places that currently have no delivery fees, and often have deals like 20% off your order ontop of that. I don't order often at all, but I always use that when I do.

  • There are differences between dumbing down so most people understand something and dumbing down in the way they do for MAGA etc. They aren't explaining things in simpler words. They just are dumb, unable to grasp things that might need dumbing down and shouting those things, often even trying to use smarter words but mostly failing completely at pronouncing, spelling and understanding those words. It's never bad to explain any word many don't understand or having an easier to understand version if possible.

  • I agree that it's cool and all, but I just really don't like VLC. It's ugly, bad UX and misses some major features. I love other similar and also free ones thoigh, like PotPlayer, MPC and MPV.

  • I have very curvy hair, like screws, on very specific parts of my body. One on each side, a bit above and right in front of my ears, beard curls below the edges of my mouth, chest hair curls between my nipples and two public hair curls right at the base of my shaft. Partners have found this very funny and fun to play with.

  • I'm apparently one of the only men in the world who have something akin to that, it's similar but not as strong from what I've been told. Never once met another man with a better colour sense than me.

  • M is the letter my real name starts with, and 137 has been my favourite number since I was a kid, and I still think is the coolest number (has nothing to do with 1337, as some people have previously thought).

  • Might it mean two graphs together, for example, the top 20%, is just that, the top 20% of all and the second graph shows how much the top 10% of that 20% owns? So the top 10% of the top 20% owns however much the graph says, looks to be around 70%. Out of the top 20%, 10% of that has the vast majority of that wealth.
