TIL swingeing is a word, and with a very separate meaning from swinging. It just looks weird and feels like swinging should be the actual correct one but that spelling seems to be pretty specifically for the polygamous sex stuff.
It's really fucking not hard to learn the correct usage. You're: you are, your: something belonging to or being part of you. You're isn't a word, it's a contraction of two words. It's so fucking simple to understand when to use any contraction or similar sounding word that there is never an excuse to get it wrong.
It's also mostly native English speakers who get it wrong and part of that is the American educational system being one kf the worst in the world.
Isn't this very old? I don't mean that in a negative way at all, I just feel like I've seen it pop up ever now and then for over a decade. Don't have Instagram and in a "too lazy to look it up" moment. It feels like the old Internet in a nice way, thanks for posting it!
This is a valid thing even without the current diarrhea epidemic.US food is objectively shit, the poor quality and ingredients that are banned almost everywhere else being only some of many reaasons.
If you ever have an animal running on the road (that you can see in time), slow down and dim or turn off your lights. They'll run into the forest almost immediately. When the lights are on they are just trying to get away from them by running in with the lights at their back, they don't know that the lights are moving and that they won't follow them.
Aah, the mass delete of comments by the person who made them only makes it even more sweet. You can't handle being wrong so instead of sticking by what you say (which is dumb in itself) you delete the comments because you're downvoted and that you are objectively wrong.
You seriously only put another nail in the coffin by removing the comments.Absolutely hilarious!
It's funny seeing all this landlord hate as someone who lives in a country where it's rare with shitty landlords. We don't really have "landlords" like you do, it's mostly a few big real estate companies who own the vast majority of apartments and are actually good as they compete. I've lived in this apartment for 10 years and my rent has increased by 8% but now water and electricity is included, and they have completely renovated the house with lots of nice new things and tech, never denied requests for repairs and have very good communication with us. They're added solar cells to the roof, a big information screen in the entry with real time arrivals for trams and busses at nearby stops, chilled delivery boxes so when we order grocery bags we don't need to be home when they're delivered, we have 5 laundry rooms; one on each of the 4 floors and a bigger one on the ground floor, all with 2 big washing machines, dryers, drying cabinets and drying rooms and they've added filter that filter out microplastics etc., they've added a big bike storage room with tools, pumps and lockers with chargers for e-bikes, mailboxes that send a text when we get mail, a common room with a kitchen, sofas, tv that anyone can book (for free) and the "landlord" hosts a fika there every week with pastries where we can give feedback and make requests, and sometimes other events there too, and there are three elevators (to small, one big) and a trash room with recycling in the building.
My apartment is one bedroom with full size kitchen, 31m², and ~$540 a month. I've gotten new appliances, renovated bathroom and other things since I moved in.
And they used some of the material from the renovation to make artworks on two of the building faces, a big hanging lamp in the middle of the spiral staircase and furniture for the lobby and yard. There's also so many nice plants both along the outer walls and in the yard, some with edible fruits and/or flowers.
The American defaultism is so fucking tiring, it's such a constant "here's this thing that's only a thing in the US but it's written like it's global". There needs to be a rule of at least having (US) in the title for posts that use whatever title they link to.
Eh, there are to sides to this. Yes, many (not just here) react like this to things that are harmless jokes. But it's also way too common with jokes that are not actually jokes, they're stuff like racism, sexism, anti good things or pro bad things masquerading as jokes.
Off script doesn't mean not trying to make a sale at all. And you gotta realise "a long time ago" makes anything you know invalid? It's the same thing as old people thinking young people are bad with money because they can't afford a house, car, kids etc. on a single income, like they could.I used to do graphic design about 15 years ago but don't anymore, I'm not gonna tell someone who does it now that I know anything about how it currently is. Very weird to not be aware of something like that without having to be told about it.

Sure, but this is an international thing, Flock is US only. And it's completely expected to see comments about something US specific written like it's a global thing (or that nothing outside the US exists) because that's fucking always the case. The 'Murica brain, like yours, just can't comprehend that the vast majority of the world isn't the US.
