The blood of the women, children and elderly […] we are the ones who need this blood, so it awakens within us the revolutionary spirit. — Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas senior leader

queer armed militant Turtle Island anarchist. death to the United States, and death to Israel! the only good zionist is a dead nazi. all nations are bastards. russia and china are imperialist scum.

  • That would likely be .mobi, which had been deprecated for years. In fact, when I had an Oasis years ago, and I emailed it books I had downloaded, it would refuse them unless they were .epub format.

(Yes, you read that right. Each Kindle has an email address where you can mail your books bought elsewhere.)

I imagine that after several years post .mobi, they are finally done providing that format for older kindles that don't support .epub. It sucks for the people who use the old Kindles, but all e-readers these days, Amazon made or otherwise, prefer .epub as well, so it makes sense that they wouldn't continue to support an old format indefinitely.

  • I just came to watch the people angry about the cover image.

  • I think they're full of shit, is what I think.

  • Yes, that's the problem, thank you for stating the obvious, you truly are an intellectual.

  • so the only thing we disagree on is whether or not we've reach the last resort?

  • wealthy people would control the system

oh no, I'm a leftist. the plan is to murder the rich people. then they can't do anything to stop you. I'm a big fan of a firing squad, but one of the other AN admins suggested slow roasting over a fire. I'm also partial to putting them on wooden stakes like Vlad the Impaler, but we can figure it out as as we purge them, I suppose. maybe a little bit of everything?

  • Are you the one who’s going to deliver the punch?

I hit my step-father over the head as a child with a cast iron pan for trying to force himself on my mother while drunk, so yeah, I'll fucking beat him up for you, if you're too much of a feckless hand-wringer to do anything to defend your community from predators. wouldn't want you to break your nails or muss up your hair gel.

Maybe instead work to make your government better. In a democracy, it represents the will of the people.

the United States is not a democracy, and the will of the people is ignored. so basically, you're advice is to sit back and do nothing, same as always.

  • Piefed, which I use, has actual blocking, unlike Lemmy. You cannot reply to someone that has blocked you on Piefed, the option is greyed out and you are given an error that says "you are blocked by this person" if you try. if that person is a mod, you also cannot post to any of their comms, if I remember correctly.

also, they said they were going to block me.

  • Idk, but somebody who does shit like he did definitely deserves a few guys taking them out back behind the building to give them a real good beating.

If saying that makes me "exactly as bad" as them then so be it, I'll be the bad guy and take one for the team. 💪

  • Right, which didn't happen. So it doesn't work. Flushing a toilet gets rid of poop, when it works. When it doesn't flush, it doesn't work.

  • Don't forget that if you get caught spending that money by the US, or whatever government rules over you, then you will spend the rest of your life eating prison cafeteria food and sleeping on a cot. You won't get a pass because you aren't working for the government, and they don't want people who don't respect authority being free inside their borders.

  • If a AAA game is free-to-play, then you are the product and your data is being sold.

  • Please tell me you didn't just #NotAllMen them verbatim 😂

  • Well you can always go steal some data from them and find out for sure. I wonder if Polymarket will let us place bets on when you have a tragic accident.

  • Minecraft

  • I had a Samsung smart watch when I started running. the default health app had a coach for running that would direct your pace. I think Apple has something similar for their smart watch, but IDK for sure. Garmin of course has a running coach for their watches, since they are tailored more towards people with active lifestyles. but their watches are also somewhat expensive.

fitbits these days are mostly trash, from what I've heard. I haven't had one since long before google bought them.

  • I think the other comments covered it, but let me repeat that pacing yourself is super important. if you have a smart watch then there are running apps that will watch your heart rate and tell you when to speed up or slow down to keep you in cardio without making you feel like you're going to pass out.
