You mean well (edit: well. not entirely sure anymore) but even in humans it's not that simple (not to mention non-humans who might produce both sizes or switch). People who are identified as female at birth because they have a vulva may lack ovaries (or even the entire reproductive tract). They don't have any gametes but because of their outer appearance they're usually socialised as girls and only notice when they don't start menstruating at some point. I assume it's similarly possible to be born with a scrotum (and penis) but no testicles.
I mean, I get that it's utter shit right now and has been for some years and I don't envy anyone who can't get out. But this wasn't yesterday. And you don't see other nationalities going around being very loudly nationalistic and frankly antagonistic like that after they had some national tragedy.
Nothing. Village of 1400 people, the only "shop" was the bakery, no other commercial activity whatsoever, anywhere to spend money was concentrated in one nearby town (one supermarket, one movie theatre with one screen, some doctors, some construction trades) surrounded by several similarly dismal villages. Loads of disillusioned teens headed for dead-end jobs in the surrounding area or lifelong unemployment, and probably the extreme right. Everybody with a bit of brain left as soon as possible.
(I just tried to check the results of the most recent national elections - it's too tiny to have its results listed separately. They REALLY like conservatives down there.)
Nice landscape though, good for retirement you might think - until you learn that, since you left, all the doctors have moved away from the area, the teeny tiny hospital in that central town and the slightly larger one 30 minutes away by car have closed down and my parents now have to drive an hour (if traffic permits) to get to the hospital.

People who like AI images have absolutely no eye for details. The whole thing looks okay so it's okay. And if you point out all the things that don't make sense, they get angry - at you, not the AI.
So why're you trying to put it into such a rigid framework if you agree it's messy?
