she/her, A(u?)DHD, German, sometimes draws nonsense. Likes Doctor Who a normal amount.

  • "Playing computer games"? How do you mean? How woul AI replace that?

  • Ah. That's not true anymore, he's since said he's made peace with it. He really likes attending cons and he's doing Big Finish (with Billie ❤️). He wouldn't return to the show though, especially while RTD is running it.

  • They're free to identify however they like.

  • I probably understand movies in their original English better than if I was watching the German dubbed version because I'd constantly be translating back into English in my head and pop a vein about who the fuck fucked this up again by not understanding this obvious reference.

I may not be on a native level, even just considering I mix up UK and US terms all over the place, but if German vanished tomorrow, I'd have no trouble switching to English full-time.

  • I've never managed to rule it out entirely.

  • I was offering possible reasons why they'd take a picture now, despite the bathing possibly not being an unusual occurrence. Speculation.

  • And I wasn't arguing against that, just that there are reasons to think the opposite as well.

  • That's what I'm telling myself but everything I read about it suggests there should be very visible movement of the lower leg. Idk, I'll have to remember to ask next time.

  • Yeah, I did figure it out after taking another look. It's not ideal though for your comic to make readers have to figure out who's who and where in a panel (unless there's some effect you want to achieve, like disorientation - rules are meant to be broken after all). Compare the 180 degrees rule in movie making (which is also true in comics).

  • So I have some neural damage somewhere and none of my doctors care. I feel like there must be something else going on (・_・;)

  • Okay. What are we talking about? I honestly don't care about the person in the OP, they may or may not be someone who bathes their cat regularly and I have nothing but this posting. How does this affect the fact that it's not the best idea to bathe cats unless there's a very good, specific reason?

  • Does this actually do anything? The maybe handful of times a doctor did this to me, I don't think anything moved at all but they're always like, "yup, everything's good, moving on." Am I weird and doctors are intimidated by the weirdness, so much so that they ignore it, or did cartoons give me unrealistic expectations for the effect this has on a leg?

  • "There may be more information elsewhere" is always implied or we couldn't talk about anything at all ever.

  • Almost perfect, and I'm going to be rude and offer unsolicited, hopefully constructive, criticism: when the second boob appears it's not immediately clear which one is which because the first one keeps switching between left and right between panels. Otherwise excellent.

  • It requires the assumption that the person has a cat and lives in a country where they commonly bathe cats.
