In the beginning it was very nice, but somehow the guy became repulsive somehow. I used to watch every video but lately I skip many. But since the older videos were interesting, I added it to the list. I also used to like Mark Rober but his videos I really dislike for a while now. It's so over the top "look at me, I'm an engineer, I'm going to do extreme shit and be super popular for kids" instead of "I'm going to teach you something super interesting".
I googled it and apparently there's been some commotion about him and his views. Especially about a video about why people are so easily offended, one I haven't seen myself. I'm only on YouTube and Lemmy, I completely missed everything else on other platforms.
The videos I've seen had no political content so I never noticed anything, but it's good to know as it might have influence on the information and nuance he provides. So thank you for pointing out his bias.
In the US there are 2 parties: the Democrats which are right wing and the Republicans which are right wing extremists. Both parties support Israel in their war crimes, only one of them is turning the US in a dictatorship right now while the other one isn't doing anything about it. The entire system is fucked up and corrupt. Everything needs to change. But right now diaper Donny and his baboons are the biggest problem.
You think there will be one? Seeing how things are going now, there's barely a democracy left. I'm expecting elections like Russia had, at best. Trump is following the footsteps of Hitler. Literally. Tariffs, attacking journalists and judges, spreading hate towards minorities, using fake news as a weapon, replacing key positions with yes-men, deporting people to concentration camps, etc. You might hope for a Democrat as president, but I think that ship has sailed man.
Having a family lose everything and have their pets die over $75,-
What a fucking dystopia.
When I was young I couldn't understand how someone could go as far as becoming a camp guard at Auschwitz. Like, how extremily fucked up and evil one must be.
Now that I'm older, in this current world state, reading shit like this, I believe there would be more job applicants than job openings.
Some people are true sadists and have no boundaries and are willing to do anything if the opportunity presents itself. Killing animals for fun or refusing to put out a fire to prevent a family losing everything over $75 means it's only the beginning and they are capable of much worse.
The president has immunity while being in office, was the supreme court ruling right?
And if this doesn't count under the immunity, he just replaces judges and claims he lost faith in the justice system and abolishes and restructures it, just as Hitler did. He already ignored several other judge rulings.
We voted for nazism and deportation, but didn't think it would affect us and our undocumented workers. Trump his first term was economically really bad, but Trump said it was the best and I trust him more than facts and numbers so I voted for him again, but didn't think he would fuck up the economy even more than before. I support the tariffs on China, but I didn't think it would affect the price of fertilizer I import from there, so now my farm is going bankrupt because China now doesn't want to buy my product anymore with the counter tariffs and they were my only customer. But I completely support Trump and fully trust him. Just from a cardboard box under the overpass from now on.
How many people pressed the play button in the image. I know I did.
