Self teaching myself piano - been going a little over a year now and I've made a ton of progress! It's a lot of fun to hear myself play some of my favorite video game songs and songs I grew up around.
Homebrewing meads and wines (haven't tried beer yet) - super simple to get started but lots of variables you can tweak to get something tasty. Takes a LOT of patience though.
Making homemade bread - it's like 10 minutes of actual work but it tastes so much better than store bought.
I definitely get the sentiment. But in my opinion it's closer to somebody going to the pizza shop, ordering and picking up a pizza and bringing it home to fam and saying "hey I got us a pizza"
Used to work construction. I did a coding bootcamp with very little experience. I got through it purely on aptitude. Was 1 of 4 graduates in a group that was about 40 at the start.
After, they hired me on as a contractor and they shipped me to a few different locations. One of the locations liked me so much they hired me full time. This was over 10 years ago.
I'll make something that goes well with homemade bread. And make a rustic loaf or some dinner rolls to go with it. Homemade bread adds a lot to a soup or pasta dish.
I like the plate spinning analogy. I think these guys have SO much money that they do have a few tricks up their sleeve to keep investors going.
I think once they land a few enterprise level fish hard, it will keep the plates spinning a good bit longer.
