  • You’re right, and who can blame them. We’ve treated them poorly.

(I was thinking about one instance, but there have been several, you’re right.)

  • Same. If arrogant bastards were doing donuts in my garden, keeping me up at all hours, throwing their rubbish everywhere, and scaring away my food, I’d start sabotaging them, too.

Orcas have yet to kill anyone on purpose, and this dipshit was likely collateral damage to them, but if they literally start eating people I’d say they deserve it. Team Orca.

  • Orcas have been attacking and sinking yachts. Apparently, CEO Marcus Hale (crypto bro) was sailing off the coast of Portugal last October when his yacht was attacked by orcas. He drowned. Here’s the only article I can find that’s not a video or twitter post: https://www.bitrue.com/blog/marcus-hale-crypto-ceo-death

I can’t find a more reputable link, so can’t vouch for the veracity of this. The orcas have been revolting for a few years, though.

  • 1000 agents who could have been investigating crimes on behalf of victims. Instead, they were tasked with protecting a perpetrator.

e: also, jesus christ, how much work should it take to investigate and flag one ’innocent’ person’s references? 1,000 agents? How many man-hours is that? The man-hours that could have been spent for victims is one unconscionable thing – but how many man-hours should it take to bury this? That’s staggering. I thought we mostly knew what was in these files, but I’d also think 10 agents would be more than enough. What the fuck are we missing?

  • Yes, it’s super interesting. The reason the word ‘vaccine’ derives from the Latin ‘vacca’ (cow) was because we observed that people who contracted the cowpox gained some protection from smallpox. We investigated that connection, did a bunch of testing and research (which included early scientists infecting themselves on purpose in some rather gross ways), and developed the theory of vaccines.

The history of early modern medicine is very cool.

  • No, obviously I don’t think he’s in charge. These files also contain names of others in Congress, and meetings lately have been derailed lately because of this issue. This isn’t currently slowing down their progress.

  • No, this actually has the potential to cause major rifts in their ranks, which forced them all to focus more on this and less on destroying things. Distraction can work both ways.

  • Man, I hope he keeps talking about this. He’s losing Nick Fuentes, Alex Jones, and Joe Rogan, ffs. Please, I hope nobody takes his phone and reporters keep asking. I want both his pig feet shoved in his mouth daily until he finally just drops.

All this stress must be bad for his heart.

  • It’s crazy – I have a really nice oversized jumper, and people who’ve known I knit have asked if I made it. Lol no, it would have cost like 10 times more. I bought it on sale (it’s machine made).

The same goes for many handcrafts. Have you seen the cost of one teeny skein of embroidery ribbon? And I always feel a bit sad when I see hand crocheted tablecloths or large cross stitch pieces at thrift shops for almost nothing. Someone spent hundreds of hours on that, and it’s being sold for the price of like 3 tiny skeins of floss.

  • It’s definitely an admission, but also, I’m pretty sure he’s panicking because he knows it’s either going leak soon and/or there will be congressional hearings in which Bondi, Bonjino, and even Maxwell will have to testify under oath (Maxwell has already said she’s willing to testify – the late-night GOP scramble yesterday was related to this).

He’s trying to poison the well with his usual ‘lügenpresse’ schtick.

  • He’s a sore loser whose pettiness and insecurity know no bounds. He’ll never emotionally recover from that loss, and the only way he can cope is to get everyone else to agree that he didn’t, in fact, lose.

Remember, this is the guy who, after a journalist called him a ‘short-fingered vulgarian’, mailed him photographs of himself with his hands circled and notes like ‘See, not so short!’ for 25 years.

  • It’s because Ivana is in the general section at the top, but there are specific sections after that, like ‘65th Street’, ‘Entertainment’, ‘Finance’, ‘Hotels’, ‘Island’, etc. Donald is listed under ‘Island’.

There’s also a section for ‘Massage - Florida’ that mostly includes girls’ first names (with separate entries for their moms in some cases), and several are redacted (IIRC because they were to be witnesses in his case).

  • Thank you. I’ve been wondering whether I had hallucinated this, since it sounds like many people have forgotten this exists.

We saw this a full decade ago. It’s the contents of his ‘black book’, and trump is listed specifically under the ‘Island’ heading.

  • You actually can – just long-press the dash.

    En-dash: –Em-dash: —Dot: •

You can also do proper ellipses by long-pressing the full stop…

    And long-press most letters for more options: ă é ï ø û æ œ ç ñ $ £ €

Pretty much everything is in there.

  • A few years feels optimistic. I’d wager on by the end of this year, at the rate everything is getting defunded.

I think people vastly underestimate the effectiveness of annual mitigation efforts by multiple agencies that have either already been cut or on the chopping block.

Many of these agencies go unnoticed because they work well, but will be immediately obvious once they’re gone.

  • I’ve got some ocean front property in Arizona. From the front porch you can see the sea.

  • Why am I just now noticing Tesla’s logo looks exactly like an IUD?

  • Thanks for that link. Will doomwatch tonight.

e: for those like me who can’t afford streaming services, it’s on YouTube.

e2: I’ve only watched part of this, but it’s showing how intelligent and seemingly rational people believe this shit. ‘Normal’ people are in this cult.
