  • I imagine costs would be the main thing driving down consumption if anything. Until we subsidize alternatives like we do meat, and the prices of meat alternatives are cheaper, people will have incentives to eat real meat.

It would cost us less to subsidize them long term, and it would lower costs of meat... And help the environment. Wins all around, yet people will vote blindly against it.

  • Yeah, the article specified they didn't want to shut down NOAA but split it up and commercialize it. We know they want that because for profit companies will put profits over all else.

  • Florida had 5.7 million vote for Trump, 5.3 million vote for Biden. The majority of Puerto Rico voted for Biden. Your response is to let all those people suffer to "teach them a lesson." You may need anger management classes.

  • The number of "100% native" people in the U.S. is likely 0. The idea of people leaving if they weren't from here goes back forever, everywhere. Eventually it's just a debate of if we are all from Africa or not.

"Go back to being a neanderthal dweeb!"

... Sadly, acceptance and growth are harder than resentment. And most of the time we resent the wrong people.

  • The year was 2174 - Humans decide they want to Make Venus habitable by converting the atmosphere into one suitable to humans.

The year was 2182 - oops, 7 planets in the solar system you say? How the fuck did we do that bad

  • Yeah, I imagine him getting shipped products over and over and then likely being paid to try them out and then paid to review them would dampen the authenticity. That said, I haven't watched much of his content so I couldn't tell you if he really was really bias or changed over time.

  • I mean if Trump wasn't running for President, and Roe was gone as it is... It would still be on the ballot. Who honestly thinks otherwise?

  • Windows E opens windows Explorer, I used that all the time for work, I use the keyboard more than the mouse.

  • Bank: 24 miles / 38.6km Grocery store: 4 miles / 6.4 km Work: 50 miles / 70km Parents house: 703 miles / 1131 km

I need to move closer for work, but couldn't afford it do to dumb choices for a bit there.

  • When a light turns green every car should start accelerating at the same time, it doesn't happen with people driving. Traffic jams will plummet with cars communicating eventually. It's far off but it would be nice.

  • Not sure he was even a shit speaker if we compare him to Trump. His sentences at least made sense. I'm sure he just wants to be done with it all. He retired from office 15 years ago, and he lives in Texas I thought. If he endorses Harris, Trumpees will lash out at him. We can call that cowardly to not speak out do to fear of retribution but he is 78 years old. 78 year olds shouldnt be key factors in planning for our futures, they should be relaxing and planning their next health care visits that we have figured out a way they can access. The average male in the U.S. dies at 74. Let the old man paint a few more pictures on canvas if so chooses and pass in his time. That said... Wish Trump would do the same.

  • I think it is was supposed to come across as anti American not beneficial. People have been knocking data centers for their overuse of energy, thereby trying to say the U.S. is using mass amounts of energy. They just wanted to make a chart that showed the U.S. having way more of these "problem facilities" without any more thorough information.

  • Yeah, an equivalent response would be for a government figure to tell the public to record these judges addresses for making the decision to call it a non threat. Which of course would be threatening.

  • Freeloading companies need to be taxed properly.

  • I mean I don't like the taste of Burger Kings burgers, but I don't pull off the road when I see one and walk up to the counter to tell them. I think negativity always invites negativity, which on here starts around downvotes

  • Notice the group you call a terrorist organization grows when the nation they say they are organized to protect against invades other countries. If Russia wants NATO to go away all they have to do is stop invading counties and it will slowly dissolve and disappear. They invaded Georgia in 2008 and the world didn't do enough, they invaded Crimea (Ukraine) in 2014 and the world didn't do enough. 2022 they set out to invade Ukraine again, and finally the world started to do more. 3 strikes. Now NATO grows because counties in the region don't feel safe from Russia. If they stop being a threat, counties in the region will slowly leave NATO.

  • It doesn't bother me either but I'm a glutton, so I immediately pivoted to foods I enjoyed but the torture was just that I was able to hear/watch them enjoy something I really wanted to share.
