  • It's factual you will lose it. It even says you will have a permanent loss of access to the account if you don't have the information supplied to you to recover it. Basically you signed a contract that you won't lose it and you control it, then you fucked up. Not their problem is what they see it as.

  • I just don't think "Dems" really exist. People left of MAGA just vote for Democrats because it is what they have to choose from. People who want communism or socialism or social programs or just more fallbacks all want them in varying ways. People say "corporate Democrats" which is basically the majority of what the democratic party has represented for the last decade. A lot of people want to reform what the democratic party is because it is the only structure that exists so that's why people want to primary everyone. In the end though that means that a corporate Democrat, and all those other groups are voting to replace the same people, but they don't have the same views/wants. So there is no one person that would be an agreeable spokesperson for all of the various beliefs. Someone who believes the means of production should be owned by the people will never agree with someone who believes the means of production should be own by private entities. So they would be shitting all over each other's "spokesperson" or whatever.

  • If your talking about a company like Apple, they can't reset your password no matter what, they have no access. It is only controlled by the user unless it is an account recovery which takes days. (Which if a user creates an account recovery key, it takes it completely out of their hands). It's a 28? Digit code that makes it so the password/account can never be recovered without that code and access to the phone number on the account unless there is still a device logged into that account you can change it from. You could have spent $8000 on the account for subscriptions/music/whatever, you won't be able to access it ever again. All purchases lost

  • Companies like Apple say the password has to have a capital lowercase number and 8+ characters. But leave out that your password can't be something you have used in the last year, can't contain your name, birthday, or email address. Those errors will come up separately. In this case it would say you can't reuse your password. It doesn't say your last password because it wasnt your last password. Some people just don't use the password daily/weekly, so they forget 6 times a year and have to keep resetting it.

Also the number of people forget their passcode because they use face/touch id all all the time is higher than you'd expect apparently. I knew someone who used to complain about it when they did support for them. Essentially people plug their device in every night, use it daily and never turn it off so it always accepts face or touch. Then they leave automatic updates on .. and it restarts for an update and they can't get back into their device because face/touch doesn't work on first boot, it is a subsidiary of the passcode and cannot be set up without the passcode.

Then since they forgot their passcode, they have to wipe everything from the phone to bypass it... But of course they don't know their password so they can't sign back into their account and it is then activation locked because that's how they prevent people from using stolen devices.

Then the extreme cases dude was telling me at that point is they changed their phone number at some point, so they can't reset their password without it, it takes days if not a week to recover the account, all the while their phone is a brick

  • Well his father was the one arrested at the KKK rally. Being that he was a German at a rally of people who didn't like people who looked different then them one can only ponder what values they passed on to their kid who is trying to take citizenship away from those he doesn't like.

  • And being that it's a personal device that they can't get either version of their own personal outlook to work, the fix will likely be having their spouse reset the password here on earth and tell them the new password because they likely forgot it. Otherwise you'd just tell them to use webmail until they got back, no point in fucking around with a locally installed product on a personal device when they will be back in less than 10 days

  • I agree with the sentiment, but it isn't close to the same. Russia mobilized 100,000 troops to gather at the Ukraine border in 2020 before Biden became president. Trump has sent an additional 2,400 troops to the Iran area after starting the war. The meat grinder effect won't work the same. Russia loses more troops a day sometimes than the U.S. has deployed. That's why he doesn't care. He knows he can always compare to Russia/Ukraine and "look good" while it is unfathomably stupid for him to do so.

  • Don't forget Bondi wasn't even their first choice. Bondi is just who they used because they couldn't get Matt Gaetz the position. Someone he could blackmail into doing anything because they already have the evidence that he trafficked and raped a minor. Gaetz assistant pled guilty and is in prison with a shortened sentence (14 years) with the agreement he would testify against Gaetz. Both Florida and the U.S. put the files in a drawer and essentially labeled it blackmail and let him walk free until they need to use it against him. He wasn't found not guilty, wasn't even tried, they just put them in a corner and said... Maybe later.

  • I think I got banned from a community because I said something stupid while drunk. Arguing with someone which is uncivil so I would say it was appropriate. If you are ever bored though just go to an instance, and scroll to the bottom and click Modlog, it'll show you all the posts/comments/bans occuring.

Most of them make sense, sometimes you will see someone going on a weird trip banning people for 75 years for God knows what. I usually only go there if I posted a comment and end up seeing the comment I made leads back to a removed post, I'll get curious and check why

  • 7.2/10 Day off today, so I'm rating it high

  • If the gps data goes to a 3rd party I wonder who owns those servers. Palantir?

  • I just learned it existed

  • Meercat

  • The porch outside my door is 2 steps up and a landing pad that doesn't allow for Enough room for me to open the door and have any meaningful hand off. Like if someone was holding a pizza they would have to step backwards down the stairs when I stepped out. So unless I am waiting outside the door when they get to the driveway I prefer them to just set it down

  • I was trying to weed my garden planter to plant stuff for spring a couple weeks ago and started ripping up big chunks of grass/roots that had grown in there. One of them pulled up a big thing of fur. Was confused until I looked to see what it was. Saw a pile of little baby bunnies. Ended up just covering them back up with the fur and going back inside. My laziness took that as a fuck it guess that's their spot now.

I probably should have weeded the rest and still planted, but I figure the bunnies will probably eat whatever I plant there anyways

  • The DOJ doesn't answer to Vance unless Trump is gone though.. Unless Trump is going to claim the VP has authorities not defined by his role, which I really doubt the Republican party wants to give more power to those positions right now seeing how sketchy everything looks for their future.

  • And a claim like this isn't something within jurisdiction of the VP I don't believe. So it isn't an official act for him to be making this claim. Therefore suing him directly for libel I would think should be fine.

  • I think their point is that the van was a much easier storage vessel, with room and penetration power. Getting out of the van and walking 30 feet has miniscule change on the effects of a munition that's blast radius and fallout are so large.

The entire idea of a vest/backpack/portable device would be more so you can get behind enemy lines by say parachute or such. Although there is no point of a parachute as you don't need to cushion your fall, and no need of the person if someone was already letting you leave said flying device.

  • By principle I do many a thing that are against my "best interest" when it comes to relations and things that would help promote me financially. That doesn't mean I haven't also fucked myself over financially financially in other ways. But Ive walked from a job with nothing in savings and no safety net out of principles that the company probably will never know about nor care who I was at the end of the day.

My income ended up halved and my savings are still empty, but I sleep better at night, and now when I drink it's for fun and not the dread of who's lives would be ended/impacted by the fruits of my and others labor.
