I'm just here for the free vacation.

  • She's occasionally sad she can't go outside, but then we bring all the stimulation and excitement inside to her and she forgets all about it.

  • I need to get off this list, we're at max capacity!

  • I'll post a bunch tonight when she's back indoors. We're going to try to gradually transition her to being indoors.

  • I text him a photo of her being warm inside and he basically just replied "I have that same sweater" and nothing else. I can't imagine being that careless.

  • My dilemma was that it was still technically someone's pet, even if I didn't agree with how they cared for her. She really does love being outside, so until it got cold it was hard to say she was being treated badly, he had been putting food out and left the window cracked for her to come back. He only moved last week, so things have kinda escalated since then.

The update is that he responded this morning saying she was ours! I'll be making the vet appointment today to get her all fixed up. It's going to be hard to transition her to indoor life as she was feral and then had two prior owners who let her roam, but we'll try and get her there over time.

  • Struggles! We have an indoor cat named Snuggles who is the exact same coloring, so it kinda happened organically over the years as we spotted her around the neighborhood. Strugs for short.

  • That's part of the fun!

  • We have muffins and crumpets. Muffins are like little bready patty cake things, kinda dusty on the outside. Crumpets are the ones with all the holes in that kinda feel rubbery to the touch. Both are stinkin delicious.

  • As a Brit we were always taught to gently disturb leaf piles before jumping in them or throwing them into the fire, just in case hedgehogs were in there. The habit has stuck, although I now just rake our leaves up onto the mulched beds and leave them. The chickens will then pull them apart and consume any living thing unfortunate enough to live there.

  • Recipe please

  • I submitted my paperwork as soon as it was clear Trump had lost the last election, and I naturalized the following summer (with no record of that man on my official documents). I live here, this is my home, this is where my chosen family are, this is where I have created my best memories and plotted my best future life. I love speaking to friendly neighbors, being part of a rich and vibrant community of all different flavors and colors of Americans and guests. This will all be destroyed if the orange fart wins. A Trump America is not the fun happy safe place, it will break up these communities, create hate, purposely divide the people that represent this country just for the sole fucking purpose of a few people gaining power, control, and money.

  • I built a spreadsheet for a client that sorts their email into threads and then segments various conversations into a different view based on shipment numbers mentioned in the conversations. But it's a lot of work to get something like this set up. Am thinking of going into consulting/implementation.

  • We vote.

  • Be careful getting second hand, make sure to do lead tests of anything you buy before you use it for food.

  • I'm indifferent, especially if I get money to distract me from it.

  • He'd probably have empathy pains for any future subscribers.

  • I did a uni paper on it! I don't like it as much, it's a little too whimsical in comparison, but Gondry has a style that just settles my bones.

  • This is absolutely the kind of crime I want to commit when I'm 83.
