  • Luckily, it's not the entire Internet, just the unfun part.

  • People here don't understand that without Red Hat and their commercial offering, Linux today would have a popularity and market share comparable to FreeBSD, if that.

Meanwhile, nobody is forced to use RHEL, personally I think it's an annoying distribution (tried it through CentOS once), but if you need Enterprise level support and guarantees, you can expect to pay enterprise prices. Or, you know, just use fedora, their upstream.

  • Don't think I could watch through beans being thrown at him

  • While there is quite the push thanks to Valve, they built upon the work of others, mostly Wine (which I think they fund nowadays) and DXVK (they hired the dev after a short while). So they're definitely not freeloading, but the main lifting has been done by Codeweavers and Wine contributors through their massive work over the years, plus the quantum leap that was DXVK.

I'm not trying to shame Valve here, they definitely go beyond what they'd be required to by license, but I feel it's also not fair to call them the reason most games work under Linux when others have poured literal years of work into making it possible.

  • "Did I stutter?"

  • He was the best part about the original movie. Played the role so well

  • Imagine being so obsessed with parts of the Bible, not seeing that it fits you the most... I wonder what the Bible he's saying his thinking on says about homosexuality.

  • A browser engine that Rust was initially developed/ designed for IIRC.

  • Well, except these particular racists were surely not interested in, let alone obsessed with running any physical races themselves, according to the pictures I've seen.

  • I don't see any issues with these subvolumes for NixOS (though I haven't used NixOS on btrfs, just assuming it works) – Create the partition and its subvolumes manually and then perform the steps at https://wiki.nixos.org/wiki/Btrfs. It shouldn't be an issue

  • under the grass?

Possibly next to the mother of his children? He would never allow to be buried there

  • I have one but never used it (probably since 20 years at this point), what is the diagnosis?

I bought it back when I was a low rank in the forces as I imagined it could be useful for these single page instructions that you sometimes carry with you. However it was never really needed

  • Just because it doesn't offer features a database has doesn't mean people aren't trying to use it as one

I support your argument, but unfortunately there are some real monstrosities out there that have carried small businesses since decades

  • It should have been no email. Nothing about this was necessary.

I'd feel so fucking stupid as a general being lectured by this dropout and a draft dodging president about how they won no war "because of woke". Absolute disgrace but to be expected for that admin.

  • Saving this in case my employer wants to send me to the US

  • I always thought this was more of a Windows thing as VLC relies on libffmpeg of which it does ship a copy there. On Linux, it links against the system version, which all other programs have access to as well, hence if VLC can play it, chances are the others can do so too. I basically never use it because I dislike the interface, MPV I find much more pleasant

  • He was just lucky there was no right wing podcast bro among them
