  • I've met people like this.

Literally enough money to never work and still live comfortably. I was talking to a wife of one that made her husband start a business simply because he was out golfing too much.

  • Am I wierd for wanting a poster of this?

  • I've managed to train my family to understand "server side issue"

  • That's understandable, but not the point of the comic.

Some sites don't just off apps but require them for service.

I read fan translated stories. I tried the paid officially licensed website. Forced app. Tried it. DRM bullshit. Can't even download a chapter. Tried website on desktop.

Website literally told me to get a phone and the app...

They never saw another penny from me. I started donating to fan translations groups and just using machine translations.

    Edit: name and shame.

I forget the stupid name but webtoon.com got into web novels and it was the absolute worst experience. The translation was fine but slow, extremely expensive and loaded with DRM. If I "unlock" something to read I'd like to download a copy.

To hell with your "you own nothing" business model. Shit I could buy physical copies of books for cheaper than their crap.

  • I bet mobile phone shoppers are more prone to impulse purchases.

When I first tried Temu I think I ordered like $50 of items that I didn't need to rely on while doomscrolling in bed. Thinking it's the same china knockoff from amazon but cheaper.

I tried to return most of it and they told me to keep it with a return. It ended up in the trash. Yeah fuck Temu...

  • Bald eagle was probably a conscious choice because MURICA 🦅

  • This is the way. I use Bitwarden and Aegis.

The issue here is putting Bitwarden on your phone with OTP in Bitwarden.

  • Marketing

  • I'm a little concerned about having OTP and passwords together in one system.

  • Car all now gather information and manufacturers sell this data to anyone.

This means they're often maintaining those extra communications/sensor systems.

Car also have things like sonar detectors, cameras, smart stereo systems and more. I could understand how drivers assistance or media systems that connect to ever changing cell phones need updates.

How a dead radio prevents the car from running would just be bad design. Shit should be isolated and NOTHING should prevent the car from simply running.

The legacy systems that made a car work 20 years ago should stay isolated from all the smart shit slapped on it. Lane guidance, adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking and the like are nice but shouldnt stop the car from working.

"For driver safety" they prevent the car from working until X component is repaired.

  • When you test in prod all bugs are release mode.

  • I tried rclone once because I wanted to sync a single folder from documents and freaked out when it looked like it was going to purge all documents except for my targeted folder.

Then I just did it via the portal...

  • I need a breakdown like this for Rclone. I've got 1TB of OneDrive free and nothing to do with it.

I'd love to setup a home server and backup some stuff to it.

  • Gawd forbid users get some transparency.

  • Audiobook and Yoga.

    Or even the news.

I use @Voice to read literally anything. Websites, epubs etc.

Even paid premium for it. One time ownership with updates.

  • Yeah there's a Microsoft sysinternals utility where you can drag a file into to fetch that info for you.

Makes zero sense there isn't a >Details in the error notification that tells you the damned process in Windows.
