I found that meditation and yoga helped. During workout videos the instructor often says stuff like "You are strong, you are doing great. It's okay if your pose looks different from mine."
While it may not adress your personal issues directly it helps viewing yourself in a more positive light.
Also meditation is a lot about realising you had a thought, notice that thought and allow it to move on. You noticing your feelings and allowing them to be.
These will be difficult at first, so try to keep at it for some time. If you see benefits - great. If not, that's great, too.
Lastly, I find it important to add, that these practices can help but can't replace therapy. If you feel you'd benefit from therapy, please do not let this deterr you from seeking professional help.
All the best.
I feel uneasy about this. Isn't it the same principle as self medication? Adding to this that CBT products, at least where I am from, are poorly regulated in terms of risks associated with ingredients and consumption.
Great Idea- also slightly disturbing xD I'd like to add a schematic depiction of a Yoni. Becuase they shure like to talk about womens reproductive organs. The flag should represent that :^)
A pixie book or equivalent. Pixie books are short children's books (maybe 12 DinA6 pages with very little text and lots of pictures). They are dirt cheap and there is a big bowl full of them in many books stores in Germany.
They are meant to get kids into reading and that's why I 'nominated' them here xD
Being german my first exposure to Bismarck was "He's the father of our Nation. His schemes allowed the geman states to become one" which is true. But later we learned how he created out-groups as a tool to unite people. Groups like "jews" or "catholics", and probably many others I don't recall.
He is not my favourite because he is such a golden boy, but because he is the complete opposite. And because the way he was discussed in history class throughout the years: It was a wonderful decunstruction of his myth.
Unless proven otherwise I choose to believe that it was the same as with the penguin in the Werner Herzog documentary and the bird quickly returned to their flock moments later. (Herzog didn't show that though because a penguin heading towards death is more dramatic)
I think this is something worth discussing with your s.o.
Maybe they agree about not wanting to spend a whole lot. Maybe it is really important to them.
Maybe they don't want a ring at all.
And if it's mysogonistic to ask for the fathers opinion? Yes. Yes it is. Men should not have this power over their daughters decisions.
I can live with that :)
