  • Can't think of anyone i dropped for a specific reason since Roosterteeth/Ryan Heywood. I never really dropped AvE even with his dumb conservative shit because he was always a moron and was up front about it. I guess i will not though because I didnt know he want as cookoo as full magat, but i can see how he'd turn that way.

    Idk I saw roosterteeth going toxic for a while and got much more sparing with my subscriptions back then. I'll always shout out Ray Narvaez Jr. And his lovely wife Tina for being some of the best on YouTube for a long time now. Honorary mention to Matt, Chibi, and Nagzz to round out the pissboy crew.

  • I didnt see that podcast, but I can definitely see what youre saying. I think that gal gadot wonder woman movie review was really the begininning of the end for him. While I agree that movie is a mess for a lot of different reasons, CD just got stuck on woman this and woman that. Its like he got a taste for misogyny and just decided that's what his audience wanted. Idk. I got tired of it when he decided every star wars movie was trash specifically because Kathleen Kennedy was a woman. In sure there were whole boardrooms full of corporate dicklicks that are also responsible.

  • What makes the assault rifle scarier than a pistol?

    Like, do you think the bullets from that gun are more painful/deadlier than pistol bullets?

    Im not trying to belittle having a gun in public, I think that's just unnecessary for every day life. But why is a big cumbersome assault rifle scarier than a very fast and easy to conceal pistol? To me, guns kill people dead regardless of the size. At least with the assault rifle slung like that its clearly a hassle to make ready to fire.

  • It never really got started. Ive known this woman for many years, back to when we were both kids. We met through a friend of a friend over the phone, so for a while, I thought she was much older than she actually was. When i found out she was significantly younger than me, I had to tell myself no. And that "no" stayed in the back of my head for a long, long time.

    Now its been many years, and we've stayed close for a long time. We had a few periods of fooling around once she got older, but between going away for college and both of us starting careers, it never worked out. A couple years ago she moved back and we had been spending more and more time together. We actually started getting intimate with each other in the last year or so, even if we saw each other barely once evey month or so.

    I had a traumatic incident at work, losing my job, and spent about a day in shock, and she was there for everything for me. She didnt judge me or push me or do anything besides understand and comfort. I didnt know that was something I desperately needed until that point.

    After about a week of pulling myself together, i turned to really pursing her. I asked her out on dates, I tried everything I could to make myself available to her. Weeks went by and she never has the time. Then she told me she'd asked someone at work out and how excited she was.

    I was devastated. I didnt understand for a few weeks. Then we talked about it and she said she just didnt notice that I was even making an effort. She said it just felt like the old hang out and whatever between us, and that she had let those feelings go a long time ago.

    Im still recovering honestly. Part of me entirely understands where she is coming from. I told her no when she wanted it most, and it bothers her that I would take her saying no so hard now. I asked her if she felt it would have been taking advantage of her to accept her back then, and she said she doesnt know, but wanted it anyways.

    The intimacy over the last year is what confuses me most. We'd done some rough kissing a few times, but nothing like what we shared in the last 12 months. Part of that was finally having time and being close enough to each other, Part of that was growing as people and being more honest about being what we wanted. I just dont understand why she would want that with me if those feelings were really gone a long time ago.

    I really dont know. A huge part of me just wants to wait for things to get better. I sleep a lot. Between the loss of work and the loss of hope, its hard to tell which one feels worse. I still message her. We share dumb memes. It hurts every time I see her notification pop up, but hurting is better than nothing sometimes. Its been a long time since I've been so deep in the hole, but I've always pulled through before. Just have to wait. Sleep is good for waiting. Dreams dont hurt.

    I'll take any chance I can get to shout out Nick Zentner. Hes a professor of Geology at Central Washington University and he has been posting full length lectures on YouTube for more than 15 years. He is a comprehensive expert in his field and regularly features experts in related fields to help discuss whatever topic he is on at the time.

    I used to use his videos to fall asleep, but I have developed a genuine love of geology and vulcanology that I wouldn't have known about otherwise.

    The Amazon rainforest arguably benefited from cultivation, but not until the vast majority of the human population emigrated away or died off.

    Modern humans have never figured out a good balance to work with nature. Native Americans came closest with the Three Sisters and forage style harvests. The vast majority of people are too focused on production to ever truly care about the impact of their garden on the wider environment.

Further, you explicitly cannot sue the government for performing the duties of the government, like collecting taxes or carrying mail.

    You have no actionable cause. It sounds like what youre looking for is thoughts and prayers.

    Best ive seen for value is chromebook. I think i bought 4 laptops one year for nieces and nephews for less than the cost of a single used MacBook pro or whatever was popular at the time. They do all the Facebook and Gmail that 95% of people actually need a computer for.

  • Nope. The first land vertebrate evolved about 340MYA. 700MYA was a whole lot of nothing. The first plants and fungi to colonize land evolved about 440MYA. Before then, the earth probably looked a lot like Mars. It wasn't until mosses and lichen came along that we even got dirt instead of sand/gravel. Dinosaurs didnt really show up until 250MYA
