  • Not really. I mean, other than the headline, what consequences are stemming from this?

People here seem to think a good burn is going to stop these monsters.

I mean we can all say we hate AI but while OpenAI continues to have a billion active monthly users, they will never stop

BTW I got that number from an article today saying OpenAI was "in trouble" because they are DOWN to that number as apparently Gemini is stealing all the users...

  • I don’t think that there’s a clear path to a point where their Metaverse stuff takes off.

They already gave up on the whole Metaverse fiasco a few months ago... but their are not even really developing AI either, the latest layoffs were "justified" saying they would invest in AI. Sounds like all they want is to be part of the circular investment scam for a while

  • ... while they can

    <insert evil laugh>

  • yes but will any of them take a actual step in the right direction like degoogling and/or closing their Meta or Xitter accounts?

Edit: After thinking about this yesterday I realized I was wrong. I am indeed frustrated with the inaction of the American people and their letting loose of a menace that is literally killing thousands around the world and just making everything miserable in its path. However, these graduates were actually doing something to fight power; I should have commended their walk out, not complain about shortcomings.

Leaving the original comment up (but stroked through) so the thread below makes sense for those who come in later.

  • A.I. is stupid's people new magic… they were disappointed when they discovered magnets don't work under water

  • "Nothing" would be a win for the USA... this deal includes less sanctions to Iran, $300 BILLION of US taxpayers to rebuild what was broken, a more determined Iran leadership... and some lives but nobody seem to care about those

  • well this is the dumbest administration the USA has ever had... so using AI makes a lot of sense for them

  • I smell a young poster here

  • makes sense when you consider that greed, "fuck you got mine", and celebrity worship are core tenets of American culture

  • Judge Rules Blacked.com Can Sue Meta for Scraping Its Porn

    Jump
  • I hope Meta get it like one of those tiny blonde girls I've heard feature in Blached videos tehehehehe

  • If you had to choose, would you rather:

    • a turd with flies all over it?
    • a turd that a drunk also puked on, with flies all over it?
  • you need to do another pass on my comment then

  • finally out there showing its true colours

  • so the dropout doesn't actually know shit about running a business?

  • it's a cop… they'll give him a year of paid vacation and reinstate him with a raise after a week of retraining

  • … and they try to convince me Muricans are not stupid

  • and unlike Microslop who loves to bury the bad news, I got at least 3 warning emails from my distro maintainers about the situation, steps they are taking and steps I coulo take to stay safe

Linux >>>>>>>>>> microslop … any day, any case

  • but half of those decided they had better things to do than voting against it

  • Amazon utterly failed to drive up sales through the Alexa assistant, this is an assistant made by Amazon to shop in Amazon

What are the chances this will work on any platform by any merchant driven by a slop machine that gets stuff wrong 60% of the time?

  • He’s under 30% approval? Just who are the remaining 20-some percent of people that think he’s doing good on the economy?

More important is "where are all the people who oppose him and what are they doing?"... if the answer is something along the lines of "sulking in silence", they might as well not exist as far as the orange pedophile in chief is concerned

Approval rates mean nothing without action.

So far, the latest push of the goal post says they will do something about it in November... but IMO, waiting for that is just another huge leap of faith
