  • Continuing the programming vernacular, I was waiting to checkout at Best Buy in America like a month ago, and all the registers were empty forcing everyone to check out at customer service by the geek squad.

    Someone came up behind me and asked if we were in the place to checkout. I replied, "Yes, this is the queue."

    Shortly after that, he had the same conversation with the person behind him and also used the word "queue" to which the third person asked if he was British, and the second guy just said he repeated what I said so I had to chime in and say I wasn't British, just a programmer.

  • I think they mean the first syllable is pronounced "reg" like in "regular", not "rej" like in "reject". I'm in the rej camp personally. Saying reg is some gif jif shit that feels wrong

  • I think an interesting way to define the greatest game of all time would be a game that captures your attention the longest and provides the largest variety of ways to play.

    To that end, I would say StarCraft 1.

    My personal reasoning is I love games that have user generated content to keep you coming back to enjoy fresh experiences. StarCraft 1 had a game mode called use map settings where you could play maps made using the built-in level editor. There was enough complexity in the level editor that basically the sky was the limit.

    You want to play a tower defense? StarCraft 1. You want to play an RPG? Which franchise do you want to play, cause a lot of them are on StarCraft 1. You want to play an action adventure game? StarCraft 1. The list goes on lol

    I've never personally played it, but I feel like another example of this would be Roblox and another one that I have would be Gary's mod.

  • I mean I got some from Costco the other day and it tastes like I literally just cracked open the coconut. The flavor is a lot more complex than any of the more processed ones. The drink is pink too, which I've never seen before. Apparently it's oxidizing and hasn't been heavily processed.
