There's some good advice here, one thing I'll say is that if you feel bad about the state of the country/world, the best way to get over that is by organizing. There's studies talking about people who get involved are more optimistic about the future. Being around people who are actively trying to make a better world can do wonders for combatting doomerism. Join a leftist cause or a mutual aid group (not a charity) and build something.
I see the validity in this, but I think a big reason for it is that right now I'm so exhausted constantly that I need a significant amount of recovery time before I can actually do those things I want to.

I'm more of a concert guy but I have some more AV work coming up. I definitely need wireless workbench and a media player, but also a Qlab equivalent (I guess obs could still work?) and whatever else you think I need as a 25y pro. What limitations do you see or experience as a Linux user?
