Any pronouns. 33.

Professional developer and amateur gardener located near Atlanta, GA in the USA.

I'm using a new phone keyboard, please forgive typos.

  • A coup.

  • I don't think it's unfair, it's just that being one square away with 99% accuracy missing always feels like bullshit, regardless of whatever explanation you give.

  • Wtf, no, the way to deflect an asteroid is to send something near it while it's far away. Blowing it up just risks another smaller asteroid hitting us. Small changes in direction while incredibly fast away will change its path enough to be safe.

  • How the fuck do you bankrupt a casino?

  • Certainly more than "arm chair Monday morning quarter backing"

  • "☝️🤓 you do not have enough karma to post in this community!" Well what the fuck community am I supposed to post in when all the ones I want to post in won't let me!?

  • All you gotta do is post stuff like "thank you to the brave firefighters" on posts involving firefighters. Not knocking on firefighters or trying to diminish their contributions, but it was always hilarious seeing how many top comments basically said nothing more than that. I was always doing it as satire but I don't think people realized.

  • You can view your individual comments' scores, but there is no built in summation across comments you can view.

  • Don't post identifying shit in the first place if you don't want it up. Learn how search functions work if you don't wanna manually shift through shit.

Like I said: loss of information because people are whiny babies about this shit is a bigger deal to me than someone removing information nobody else actually gives a shit about

Just quoting this for posterity because it's such an asinine and victim blaming way of thinking. Enjoy the block. Nothing of value is lost.

  • Is there a text version of this?

  • 😻💜

  • So if someone is worried they've compromised their identity you'd want them to have to manually sift through potentially thousands of posts and comments? 🙄

  • You're just assuming helpful information is somehow separate from identifying information. That's not necessarily the case.

  • You don't get to decide what's identifiable and what's not. How do you know the useful information isn't identifying?

  • This is such a goofy take. Yes, obviously you can never be 100% there isn't some copy or archive laying somewhere, but wanting it to be deleted for 99% of the ways people would find it is reasonable. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.

  • It doesn't matter. If someone believes they've linked too much and wants to delete it, they should be able to. If someone wants to delete their content for any reason they should be able to.

  • "Leopard, please stop eating their faces!"

  • Sure! Here! Electron.

  • Also, I don't think entropy has anything to do with carbon in the atmosphere. I thought it had to do with the size of the energy packets.
