  • That's sort of a weird projection. It's a chore. Obviously people would prefer to minimize time spent doing chores and maximize time spent doing fun things. It's really not that complicated for most people. Not saying you can't enjoy going to the store, but ultimately what you're doing is still finding a way to make it less of a chore.   • There was talk about Google changing this, but I'm not sure if that was something that would only affect Pixel phones or all of Android as an ecosystem. Well, to be specific, the change is to not let people run unsigned APKs at all and devs can only get them signed by giving their identification to Google.

  • Yeah, a lot of upholding the letter of the law instead of the spirit of the law as well as following rules without really critically evaluating why they're rules in the first place. (Example: Answering an old thread should be fine, but folks just view it as bad and lock them.)
