I agree with you, it's sad to see how people are so happy to censor opinions they disagree with when they're in power, while ignoring that if their opinions get censored when they're not in power they (rightfully) get miffed. Free speech should apply to everyone so people can decide for themselves what they believe and they can challenge authority.
Active communities for niche topics, like His Dark Materials, or Would You Rather, and the poll feature, which I used extensively. Yes, I know you can link to external platforms, but integrating it into the post was much nicer.
My dad was in a conversation that turned to talking about peas (for some reason), and the quality of something being pea like, and called it pea-ness. We only noticed when he paused, and said 'no, not like that!'
Most of those seem to be white men, yes, although Zuko also fits into the second category of 'destined to join the protagonists'. I would also add Aaravos and that other guy from The Dragon Prince
I don't watch live action shows much, but in animated shows the antagonists seem to usually be cishet white men, unless they're destined to join the protagonists, in which case they can be diverse.
