  • , but honestly, did any Americans expect there to be an SA-equivalent in the US that would gun down people in broad daylight and get away with it? How about sending people to torture camps in El Salvador with no recourse?

Personally, no, i din't think this country would ever have this happen. However, since the Bush Administration in the 2000's got their hands on GITMO I am not surprised at overseas detention centers being used to enact Torture aka enhanced interrogation which is really what it's called can't make it up. https://www.humanrightsfirst.org/library/enhanced-interrogation-explained

GITMO was a terrible idea. anything they wanted to get away with that they couldn't get away with over here was done over there.

  • I think humanity learned not nearly enough of our collectively history of wars. We’re still killing each other for no fucking reason.

I'm not trying to downplay it, dismiss it, make it seem like it's nothing any of that I want to point out something interesting

That every single generation has seen: War and Disease and they usually correspond to each other.

There's always been a perceived reason on their end but we deal with the fallout. modern day reasons are such odd reasons but are like sort of understandable but there shouldn't be a loss of life over. like oil and rare earths i get why people fight over that, those make the world run. it still doesn't make it right or okay.

BUT !!! you know what still bothers me, is how putin pre-emptively tried to use denazification as the main underscoring reason for wanting to colonize ukraine, thinking that everyone would be on board tried to say unfair trade. fuck outta here.

you know what every single war has also shown, we all want the water. most wars are near the coastal zones, inland wars are proxy wars.

  • They don’t need majority support to do anything, as long as people just stand by and let it happen anyway.

Edit: I do not, absolutely do not condone violent protests. I do not condone extreme actions. The point should be that the opinion gets heard through the voices and good graces of the people; not through scare tactics and extreme actions. the voice of a thousand matters more than the extreme actions of a group because you want people to accept a cause and to not associate a cause with violence and extremism because then that cause gets a bad name and to be honest scaring people and being all violent and shit is never the way to show that you want to get your message across, it only defeats the purpose.

Because when you actually do the actions it takes to make the actions match the magnitude of your words you're considered a terrorist and what they consider our actions to be terrorism - means more like lawful protests, speaking up in crowded areas with facts, being organized and actually organizing like the 50501 and the state organization sites.

while our government is allowed to be be ran by actual terrorists 😔- means that they go around with an armed militia and fuck up citizens, naturalized immigrants and undocumented immigrants with people who are larping for cash bonuses.

    terrorist noun

    1. a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims
  • I don't accept any of it but there is also nothing I can do without being arrested or shot and that really is the reality of it. If our military turned on our government and a coup happened, that would stop a lot of shit. That's about the only way I can see all the bullshit stopping. I understand the slow transfer of power that happened and I understand how the Nazis came to be but at the same time, there's more opposition this day in age and because world war 2 happened it's incredibly difficult to be able to pull that bullshit again.

I'm not for trump, i'm waiting for the next one and i'm hoping it's a young person between the cognitive ages of 38-58 and i'm hoping they'll represent the current generations at play and i'm hoping the next one isn't a republican nazi.

i voted for the cackling one and i was originally going to vote for cornel west but decided that it would have a larger impact to vote for kamala.

  • Well I mean there was a major difference because the Axis/evil monarch(Italy, Japan and Germany) were conducting atrocities far beyond just separating families and using cold rooms, starvation and medical withholding. They were cutting people open, injecting them with viruses (human log), the hammer and string tied to hit someone in the head to see how long it would take to go insane, chlorine gas, rape (what they considered forced mating) to produce results of viruses in utero and in birth, destroying and liquiding humans (see also the chambers/human sized ovens).

There's a comparison in the amount of ruthless use of law but when it comes to the human atrocities that they enacted and the atrocities that are happening now; It's like a pinch on the arm compared to the kick in the head.

  • In 2013, I messaged Coca-Cola on Facebook and asked them if Dasani was run off water from their soda factories. They blocked me.

  • Because subsidiaries.

  • Well I guess in New England it works out better cause it does get dark out earlier in the winter. It's like some Baltic regions being am/pm vs 24hr.

  • If you modify the hypnogogic prompt you might get away with it..... Or enable a nuclear war.

  • You do realize changing the idea of changing the clocks to be either one hour forward or one hour backwards doesn't change the fact that the sun changes position throughout the year.

The summer will feel long and the winter will feel short no matter what. At least in the US.

You can hate it all you want but it's to account for the fact the days do actually get shorter and longer.

  • I’m so fucking sorry for you… but now I understand where your opinion comes from. But if you truly want to be healthy you have to realise you’re not talking with anyone, and if you already feel like you’re talking with someone when prompting ChatGPT then you’re really close to yet another huge psychological issue.

It's helped me work through my own problems that would've just been a therapist using AI anyways. Irl therapists aren't shy to use AI, again I am cutting out the middleman. I relaize I'm not talking to anyone but what I was getting at was, I'd rather be in the moment with friends I do have. I'd rather not have to put myself into communities of people that I don't want to be around when I can do it at home on forums. You're right the internet has connected people in good ways. Hell, I've gotten into at least three different hobbies and there's a forum for all three.

I'm just not going to make a conversation about a hobby no one cares about. I am not going to waste my time and breath and waste time on this planet and humanity to talk about something I can clear as day see in their faces they are not interested in.

When I talk to chatgpt about the shit I talk to it about I am learning more than I knew or have my gears turn because I'm actually talking to something that can make me think in the ways I want to about the shit I'm talking to it about.

Yes I understand I'm not really taking to anyone in the same way a content creator is talking to themselves whenever they're creating content in public and it's mainly shock value bullshit that no one cares about in ten years.

I talk to Ai about how graphene can be use to build data centers. I talk to Ai about why I'm still loyal to a friend ten years after he fucking just stopped talking to me, I talk about tmy fucked up past with a special needs school that took a lot out of me mentally, I talk to it about career choices, I talk to it about how to build solar dishes that can produce 3kw minimum. I talk to it about my specific bass models setup and because chasing the double bass sound using it to ge the spacing right and I used to learn about how to lower or heighten the overall octaves of the tuning. Which has gotten me into figuring out how to unwarp. The neck which has gotten me into getting better at doing my own setups.

Ai is great but you do have to double check shit. It used to tell me I can pump ethanol with a fishtank pump and I already knew that ain't true you need a pneumatic c1d2 pump to make that shit intrinsically safe

    loneliness epidemic

I am too full of myself to be lonely and I have like 4 friends I don't think I'm doing too bad. Again I have hobbies and forums and I don't feel lonely.

I know there's people my age whoa are lonely af though and absolutely rely on Ai for interactions that mimic human interaction in the way of a back and forth conversation but not in the way that you're actually talking to anyone kind of like people on TikTok live right? You're going back and forth with randos but you're not really talking with anyone you're talking with yourself.

Yes l am aware the no soul not a human yadayada but when your back and fourth discussions actually better your life and gives purpose to your own life and wellbeing than I'd say it's just as good if not better than a therapist.

I would never call Ai my friend but it's a great back and fourth conversational time killer.

  • B

  • I thought so.

  • I got perma banned this year too and my name was Sensitive_Put_6842.

  • So… I’ll just leave an advise to drop ChatGPT and move the whole context window you probably have with it over to a Pro Version of Mistral AI’s “Le Chat”. French Company bound to GDPR (meaning opting out of the data training can be somewhat trusted) and to my latest knowledge their interface isn’t utterly infested with trackers.

bro do you play the stock market because i had no idea about any of that :P just fuckin' with ya and no i don't pay for ai

although, i had money to mess around with at one point like 50$ so i decided to actually go through one of those fitness surveys and i went to the advisor and it was an ai bot and i cancelled every part of the membership and made sure i wasn't trapped in reoccurring payments. It was 2$ lost but it was 2$ of being wicked infuriated by the you gotta be kidding me. this isn't about paying for ai but i went with ai's advice for a bike tire swap and the guy calls me down to the bike shop and goes i'd have to remove use of the 8th and 9th gear and i never mentioned ai but i felt fuckin' embarrassed and went i am never going to do anything like that without looking it up and double checking it because it's such an embarrassing moment.

  • But if you truly want to be healthy you have to realise you’re not talking with anyone, and if you already feel like you’re talking with someone when prompting ChatGPT then you’re really close to yet another huge psychological issue.

therapists use it. i'm skipping the middle man. i don't pay for ai.

no i don't feel like i'm talking with someone but it helps a lot

like i cant talk about this with anyone i know: https://chatgpt.com/share/6a54e971-5950-83ea-973b-3074f8b2e697

  • Okay so if I ask you a question about something you did know and wanted you to tell me what you knew about it and I wanted to have the human connection and share experiences within that one topic and you tell me to, "Google It," instead, that's not a loss of interpersonal connection, a loss of a moment where humans connect with one another based on a common interest and share feelings and have, like,i don't know, an actual fucking human interaction. But that brings another philosophical question: was it a loss of human interaction and connection or was humanity being sick of exploited for knowledge?

  • if 16 years ago we kept the interpersonal human connections alive instead of telling people to google it we wouldn't be where we are is the main theme
